Sutton in Ashfield - Tutu Time!

Hello my beautiful ballerinas! 🩰 It’s your girl, Emma, and it’s time for another dance-filled adventure! This is blog post number 9175, and I’m bringing you sunshine, tutus, and a whole lotta pink from the charming town of Sutton in Ashfield. 😉

As you know, I love nothing more than exploring the UK by train. The gentle sway of the carriages and the ever-changing scenery always fill me with inspiration, and today's journey was no exception. A bright cyan tutu – my favourite shade, it makes me think of summer skies and those gorgeous azure butterflies flitting around the wildflowers – was the perfect choice for this jaunt. It swirled around me as I bounced on the train seat, humming a tune from "Swan Lake."

I'm all about channeling my inner prima ballerina wherever I go, even on a train to a quaint town like Sutton in Ashfield. This town, nestled in the heart of Derbyshire (my beautiful home county, just sayin'!), has a unique charm that drew me in. I mean, you can't get a better setting for a ballet photoshoot than with the picturesque cobbled streets and those adorable little independent shops!

First stop? The Sutton in Ashfield Heritage Centre! It's brimming with local history, and who knows, maybe it's even home to some forgotten tales of ballet performances gone by! There's something undeniably enchanting about uncovering the past, and seeing how it influences the present, and, of course, how the magic of ballet has been interwoven into the tapestry of time. I can’t wait to add my own little tutu-filled story to the mix!

After my history lesson, I couldn't resist a stop at the charming "Tweedledee's Tea Rooms" - imagine my delight when they served afternoon tea in a vintage porcelain set adorned with whimsical ballerina figurines! ☕️ They’ve clearly got impeccable taste. It was the perfect time to let loose on the dance floor - and who needs a real one, when the entire room is practically calling for a ballerina to take centre stage? I, of course, couldn't resist a spontaneous pirouette amidst the laughter and clatter of teacups.

I am all about the whimsical, and the people of Sutton in Ashfield definitely share my penchant for the peculiar. That's why the "Little Owl Cafe," known for its fantastic cakes and, of course, resident little owl (oh my goodness, it's so fluffy!), stole my heart. You could see it perched happily, its bright yellow eyes peeking at everyone passing by! What a delight! Birds have a special place in my heart, they embody freedom and grace, and what's a better way to celebrate nature’s ballet than by enjoying a delectable slice of cake in the company of a feathery friend? 🦉🍰

Now, this is the perfect opportunity for a bit of a Life Lesson – as I like to call it - for my fellow tutu lovers: Let your personality shine! This little owl, nestled in its little café sanctuary, epitomizes embracing your uniqueness. There is power in being your genuine, quirky, magnificent self. It's time to wear those colourful tutus with confidence, whether it's dancing down cobblestone streets, or enjoying a slice of cake in a delightful little café, embrace it all, darling! It’s time to break the mould, and create a symphony of pink tutus that will dance into our hearts! 💖

My journey through Sutton in Ashfield has been absolutely delightful, full of vibrant colour, playful spirits, and of course, plenty of twirling! My tutu and I will be back for another visit, I’m certain there are many more hidden gems just waiting to be discovered.

Remember to visit the magical realm of www.pink-tutu.com, where I’ll be updating you on my ballerina adventures! Let’s twirl and sparkle together!

Until next time,

Love,

Emma ❤️🩰
