Ashton: A Whirlwind of Pink and Tutus! ππ©° (Post #9184)
Hey darlings! It's Emma here, reporting live from Ashton, a charming little town nestled in the heart of Greater Manchester! Today, I'm on a mission to share all the pink and tutu-tastic goodness I've encountered in this delightful spot.
Let me tell you, travelling here was an absolute dream. I hopped on a steam train straight from my Derbyshire abode. You can imagine me, of course, sporting my favourite pastel pink tutu and a fetching straw hat β oh, and don't forget my ballet shoes, ready for a spontaneous pirouette at any moment! The countryside flew past my window, and I couldn't resist catching the wind in my tutu. Pure bliss!
Ashton itself has a certain undeniable charm. It's like stepping back in time, with cobbled streets and beautiful historic buildings. I'm especially smitten with the Ashton Market β just bursting with vibrant colours and local delicacies. You could almost say it's the "Grand Bazaar" of Manchester.
Of course, no trip of mine would be complete without a ballet adventure! After a delectable cream tea and a peek at the fabulous antique shops, I headed straight for The Forum Theatre. Oh, the excitement! Tonight, it's "Sleeping Beauty" - and trust me, you just know it's going to be a dream. I love seeing ballet performed in grand venues like this, but let's be honest, I adore a little street performance too! I even witnessed some adorable toddlers getting a ballet lesson in the market square earlier today. Just look at their tiny tutus and bright smiles, what's not to love?!
It's always incredible to me how ballet manages to be both classic and contemporary. This whole trip has just been buzzing with creative energy. From the adorable dancers in the market square to the majestic performance at The Forum, ballet seems to be thriving in Ashton. Maybe I should take a class myself - I bet I'd look super chic in a pink tutu, spinning like a sugarplum fairy amidst this lovely historic backdrop.
Talking of colour, Ashton was absolutely bursting with pink! Don't worry, I wasn't hallucinating from too much sugar at the tea shop! It was everywhere β pink blooms in gardens, pink ribbon displays in the windows, even pink lollies sold by street vendors. I was practically floating on a cloud of pink perfection. It's definitely inspiring my next tutu creation!
To finish off this day of enchantment, I treated myself to a lovely meal at a charming Italian restaurant called "The Little Venice." I couldn't resist ordering their creamy mushroom risotto β a real taste of Italy! Of course, I couldn't let the occasion go by without a glass of sparkling rosΓ© to toast to Ashton and my latest ballet adventure.
As I journeyed back home, I couldn't help but feel a little wistful for this sweet town and the magic it had woven. Maybe this isn't my final farewell, Ashton? Perhaps a future trip holds more tutu-tastic memories in store.
Until next time, stay pink, darlings! Don't forget, the best accessory to any outfit is a big dose of confidence and a twirl! π

(PS: I spotted a cute grey squirrel wearing a mini pink bow in my garden! I mean, how chic?! You never know where a bit of pink will pop up, just like in Ashton!)
