Caerphilly Calling: Tutu Adventures in the Valleys

Helloooo, my beautiful darlings! It’s Emma here, your trusty pink tutu enthusiast, and guess what? Today we're venturing out of Derbyshire, trading our Peak District views for the dramatic grandeur of Caerphilly Castle! This little trip, ladies and gentlemen, is blog post number 9196 – yep, that’s 9196 days of me sharing my pink tutu passion with the world! 💖 And I couldn’t be more excited.

The train journey was delightful. A gentle rocking, a panoramic view of fields and sheep, and me, snuggled in my favourite pink cardigan (matching my tutu, of course) listening to the soundtrack from Swan Lake. You’d be surprised how many people compliment you on your pink tutu on a train!

Anyway, let's get to the good bit!

Caerphilly Castle - wow! Just wow. It’s bigger than I expected. We’re talking walls so high, they almost kiss the clouds! Imagine all the rehearsals you could have in those enormous halls! I mean, come on, could there be a better venue for a tutu-tastic performance? Honestly, I feel inspired already.

The whole town has a delightful medieval feel – like something straight out of a fairy tale! I've been walking the cobbled streets with my new little fluffy bunny keychain bouncing cheerfully on my tote bag. Bunny was absolutely loving all the sights and sounds! He's even posing in some of the photos – how could I resist those big, innocent eyes?

I made sure to visit the beautiful Caerphilly Castle grounds, too. I could picture the horses racing around here, feeling the crisp autumn air on my cheeks - just as strong and free as them. Now, I’ve always thought a galloping horse with a tutu would be spectacular. Perhaps I’ll work on a design for that later - just picture it, all the graceful, flowing movements, like a ballerina on horseback! 🦢🏇

Anyway, after some well-deserved afternoon tea, featuring a giant slice of pink Victoria sponge, naturally, it was time for some tutu magic!

The best part about traveling is finding unexpected sources of inspiration – especially when it comes to tutus! Imagine my delight when I stumbled upon this amazing vintage shop – The Attic – nestled on a quiet street corner. I swear, I felt like Cinderella, surrounded by so many amazing things! And guess what I found hidden among vintage hats and beaded necklaces? A bright pink feather boa, as light as air, and as pink as a ballerina’s dream! Of course, it had to come home with me – I couldn't leave without it!

Later, as the sun began to set, painting the castle in shades of gold and crimson, I had the most surreal experience. Imagine my shock – my complete and utter delight! As I was sitting in the courtyard, contemplating life's great mysteries (like, why does bunny love those pink flower arrangements?), a family walked past with their sweet little girl – dressed head-to-toe in a bright, sparkly pink tutu!

It was truly magical. They all laughed when they saw me, giggling, “Hey, you’re like her!”. This girl was a future ballerina, for sure! I knew in that moment, we had found something special – a kindred spirit. This, my lovely blog followers, is what it's all about. Spreading the joy, spreading the love, and spreading the magic of tutus! 💖

But wait, the day's not over! Remember, tutus and wildlife go hand-in-hand. My inner birdwatcher, as strong as my inner ballerina, needed some time in nature. 🐦

So, before the moon started to show its face, we ventured to the nearby Cwmcarn Forest Drive. Imagine me, twirling along the winding forest roads in my tutu! Honestly, it was like I was dancing through a real-life fairy tale! I felt the air brush against my face and saw the golden sun dappling through the trees. We were greeted by the cheerful chatter of birds and the graceful sway of tall, green trees, whispering secrets of bygone eras. It's an incredibly beautiful and calming spot!

My day ended watching the moon rise above the mountains. The pink light of the moon reflecting on the castle – the perfect end to a wonderful, magical day! There's no place on earth I'd rather be than surrounded by beauty and inspiration.

I have so many ideas brewing for new tutu outfits. This trip was absolutely overflowing with inspiration!
