Hello darlings! It's your girl, Emma, back with another dose of pink and pirouettes! This time, I'm channeling my inner seaside siren in the quaint coastal town of Ramsgate. It feels so good to be back in Kent – the air is crisp, the sky is blue, and the sea is calling me, my love!
Now, let's talk about this pink tutu, shall we? This one's got a real Victorian seaside vibe going on. It's all ruffles and layers, with a hint of a sailor’s collar and the softest, sweetest pink you’ve ever seen. It makes me feel like I could twirl right into the waves and become a mythical mermaid. And honestly, how could I not be all about a pink tutu in Ramsgate?
It was a gorgeous day for a train journey – I'm a bit of a train girl, as you know, and the rolling countryside is such a lovely sight to see in between classes. It's the perfect opportunity to read a good book (currently hooked on a charming regency romance) or plan out my outfit for the evening – did I tell you I have tickets to a fab ballet show tonight at the Ramsgate Pavilion? Oh, it's going to be divine! I’m channeling an early 20th-century ballerina in my mind – all velvet and bows. Can’t wait to see the gorgeous costumes!
But first, I'm heading for the harbour to catch some of the incredible marine wildlife that Ramsgate is famous for. I've heard whispers of dolphins swimming by, and my inner mermaid wants a glimpse! It's been a dream of mine to see a wild dolphin ever since I watched Flipper as a kid. There’s something so magical about their graceful movement and their boundless energy – just like a ballet dancer, really!
Later, as the sun starts to set, we're going for a picnic on the beach. I've packed a basket full of homemade treats, and I'm already planning out our picnic blanket, complete with a little bit of pink. My ideal evening would be to watch the sunset with my best friend, laughing and reminiscing about the day, our feet in the sand and a light breeze in our hair. A bit of seaside magic.
Then it's on to the ballet! My heart is always filled with joy when I'm at the theatre, lost in a world of elegant movement and beautiful storytelling. I’ve been in a ballet-obsessed haze lately, with so many incredible performances. I'm not just a fan, either. My favourite day of the week is Saturday because that’s when I get to head to class! My ballet teacher is simply amazing. The way she moves... so much grace and elegance! I always leave feeling so energised and inspired.
This whole journey – from my Derbyshire home, through the rolling hills to the shores of Ramsgate – has been pure joy. And this trip is about more than just ballet and beauty; it’s about getting outside, embracing the unexpected, and adding a little bit of pink sparkle to everyone's lives. My mission is to encourage everyone to wear a pink tutu – why not?! – and give ballet a go. I guarantee you’ll love it. Just like I do.
