TutuBlog #9211: Arnold Adventures in a Sporty Tutu! 🩰🌸
Hello my darling tutufolk! It's Emma here, and guess what? Today was a right jolly day. I'm writing this post from a cosy café in Arnold, Nottinghamshire, having just hopped off the train. I tell you, a train journey always gets those creative juices flowing. The scenery rushing past is just as inspiring as a barre class, wouldn't you say? 😉
And speaking of inspiration, my dear tutufolk, you need to see this tutu! It's a sporty little number that's perfect for hopping around Arnold. It's a blush pink, of course, with delicate grey mesh panels and a little tulle train for a touch of that ballerina twirl. And you wouldn't believe the pockets! 🤯 They're perfect for carrying everything a girl on the go needs – a tiny emergency sewing kit, some ballet-themed lip balm, and my trusty camera, of course!
This morning, I woke up feeling positively bursting with joie de vivre. A sunny day like this just calls for a bit of tutufy action. It felt like fate – or maybe just a very strong cup of Earl Grey – nudged me towards Arnold today. I mean, what could be more lovely than a wander through a charming English market town, stopping to admire the local craft shops and perhaps indulging in a bit of afternoon tea with a side of delectable clotted cream? 🥰
After exploring the beautiful, historic church of St. Mary the Virgin – you simply have to see the exquisite stained glass windows! – I happened upon a lovely little studio, “Dance with Joy” or something similar. I think I was destined to stumble upon it, because when I peered in, guess what I saw? A bunch of adorable kids in tutus! Isn't it amazing to see young people learning to express themselves through the art of ballet? It warms the cockles of my heart! ❤️
Now, Arnold might not seem like the most obvious choice for a tutu-loving, train-riding ballerina like me, but trust me, it has its charms! We had a wonderful time with the little ballet bunnies at Dance with Joy, and I even managed to squeeze in a quick practice session myself, in my sporty little number, naturally! We’ll have a few tips from the session in a later post!
Before the day slipped away like a feather in a draft, I had to check out the local wildlife park – just a quick horse-drawn carriage ride away! The carriage ride was a hoot, full of laughter and ‘whee!’ shouts as we sped through the rolling hills – I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I got to watch some magnificent peacocks strut their stuff and I got a rather nice selfie with a baby otter. I also met a friendly fox with rather gorgeous eyelashes who promised to tell me all the local gossip!
Arnold was the perfect combination of beauty, history and laughter, just like a beautiful pas de deux, right? If you’re looking for a fun and unique escape, put Arnold on your list. Who knows, you might even spot a tutu-wearing ballerina, flitting through the town like a magical fairy! 💖
Oh, and if you haven’t done so already, why not visit my lovely blog at www.pink-tutu.com, and tell all your friends about it! You never know, you might just be the next TutuFolk star! 🤩
And always remember, my darlings, tutus and ballet are for everyone – no matter what shape, size, or level of experience. You are all perfect, just as you are! 💕
Love always, Emma
