Leighton Buzzard: A Tutu-ful Day Out 🩰
Pink-tutu.com Post #9214
Hey loves! It’s Emma here, bringing you all the latest from the world of tutus and travel. This time, my adventures led me to the charming town of Leighton Buzzard, a hidden gem in Bedfordshire! Now, you might be thinking "Leighton Buzzard? Emma, what on earth are you doing there?" Well, darlings, sometimes even the smallest of towns can hold the biggest of surprises.
You see, this little town was hiding a secret – a brand new ballet school called “Twirl & Turn”. My inner ballerina was positively buzzing with excitement. My motto: every new dance studio is a reason to pack a new tutu! 😉
*Outfit of the Day: *
For this trip, I went for a showstopping tutu. This isn’t just any tutu, my lovelies. It’s a masterpiece hand-crafted in the finest silk and tulle, adorned with delicate sequins that shimmered under the midday sun. The colour? You guessed it, a luscious, blushing pink. I paired it with a cute cream-coloured sweater (it was a bit chilly), a little ivory cardigan and some pristine white ballet shoes. You know me, darling, always ready for a pirouette or two.
Leighton Buzzard: Where the horses run wild:
But the adventure started before the ballet, You see, darling, I always aim to arrive in style. No, not by car this time, this week's travel was by train... a lovely, comfy, spacious first-class carriage all the way! I even spotted a flock of deer roaming in a field as we passed by, which was the most charmingly unexpected wildlife spotting!
But hold on tight, lovelies, because this trip was only just beginning. My ballet school discovery turned out to be on a horse riding trail! Not just any horse riding trail either, the 'Bedfordshire Greensand Ridge', apparently, a route for riders and hikers right next to a network of footpaths! This truly is a horse and ballet-lovers' dream town, darling!
Twirl & Turn:
Stepping into the 'Twirl & Turn’ studio felt like entering a whimsical fairytale. The floor was made of gleaming wood, beautiful large windows letting in loads of natural light, and all decorated in the most exquisite shades of lilac and softest, fluffy grey! There were rows of pink pointe shoes, gorgeous hand-crafted tutus hanging on hooks and delicate, ethereal floral patterns woven into the walls! My darling, it felt like an otherworldly paradise for all things ballet.
And I just had to see if their dance classes were as amazing as the setting! I joined in their ballet class, which was filled with graceful women (and the odd man!), some newbies like me, others advanced dancers and some delightful tiny twirlers that just melted my heart! We did some basic barre work, elegant leaps, and even had a go at a few daring turns – talk about my ‘happily ever after’, my loves. The class was fun and filled with positivity. And, honestly, darling, you just feel better for dancing. Don’t you agree?
Lunch Time Delights:
No journey would be complete without some good eats! I found the perfect spot: 'The Buttercup' bistro - charming, light and bright! With its bright, fresh pastel-hued interior and delicious menu, it’s a ballet dancer’s heaven. The portions are good for dancers (aka just the right amount) and it's the best kind of comfort food! It’s safe to say my stomach was absolutely delighted (and my tummy looked so cute with that little tutu on!)
The End? Not Quite:
My Leighton Buzzard adventure is just the beginning, my loves! My travel journal is overflowing with ideas for future tutus, trips and ballet-inspired delights. So stay tuned for my next blog post!
Remember, the world is your stage. Don’t be afraid to twirl, leap, and most importantly, wear a little pink!
Sending you all my love, Emma xx
