Blyth: Where the Seaside Meets the Swan Lake 🩰

Hello lovelies! πŸ’–

It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad adventurer, Emma, here, ready to whisk you away to a seaside paradise. Today's post is extra special - it's number 9216, and I'm celebrating in style! This time, I'm taking you to Blyth, a charming seaside town nestled on the glorious Northumberland coast.

As soon as the train chugged into the station, I was captivated by the charming old Victorian architecture, with its brightly painted houses and quaint little shops. I'd say the colour palette definitely leaned towards my beloved pink, too, with pretty blooms adorning window boxes and an abundance of pale pastel walls.

Before exploring, I had to don my signature look: a whimsical white tutu, cascading down my legs in a flurry of tulle, paired with a pretty blush pink cardigan and my trusty ballet flats - after all, a tutu is the perfect outfit for any occasion! πŸ˜‰ It felt as though I was dancing right out of a classic ballet, and I can't resist a little pirouette now and then, wherever I may be!

Blyth's picturesque harbour was the first place I had to visit. I took a walk along the vibrant, bustling pier, soaking up the salty sea air and watching the seagulls dance overhead. It's a real haven for marine wildlife, too, and I even spotted a majestic grey seal basking on the rocks, its sleek coat gleaming in the sun.

I was in such a celebratory mood after that that I simply had to pop into one of the charming cafes, grab a pot of tea and a slice of delicious strawberry cake, and soak up the local atmosphere. It’s the simple pleasures like these that really make travel so fulfilling! πŸ’–

Later, I decided to follow a trail along the beautiful Northumberland coast - just me, my white tutu, and the salty air, exploring nature's wonders. The panoramic views were breathtaking, with rolling hills, windswept beaches, and rugged cliffs that tumbled dramatically down to the crashing waves.

To add to my enchanting day, I found myself at a delightful little artisan shop filled with handmade crafts and souvenirs. The scent of scented candles and lavender oils filled the air, and I couldn't resist picking up a hand-knitted pink scarf - the perfect accessory for my next pink-tutu adventure!

Now, no seaside trip is complete without a trip to the theatre, is it? Blyth has a thriving local theatre scene, with numerous venues showcasing captivating plays and musicals throughout the year. Although, I have to admit I secretly hoped for a ballet show - there's no greater thrill for me than watching graceful dancers tell stories through their movement, dressed in shimmering costumes and dancing in perfect harmony with the music.

As I made my way back to the train station, I reflected on how Blyth has stolen a little piece of my heart. There's something magical about this seaside town, and it reminds me that even the smallest of towns can be a place of adventure and wonder.

And, just as I boarded the train back home, my heart brimming with the excitement of the day, I found myself filled with inspiration for a new blog post - "Blyth, A Whimsical Retreat for Tutu Lovers!" This is just the beginning! πŸ˜‰

So, my lovely readers, what are you waiting for? Pack your pink tutus and your dancing shoes - whether you’re looking for a coastal getaway or an artistic adventure, Blyth has something for everyone! I truly believe that everyone should experience the joy of a good twirl - so join me on the path to pink-tutu paradise!

Lots of love,

Emma πŸ’•
