Hello my gorgeous lovelies! It's Emma here, bringing you all the latest from the world of pink tutus, ballet bliss, and…wait for it… puffins! That’s right, today's adventure took me all the way to Bridlington, a charming coastal town on the east coast of England, with a dose of delightful wildlife and, of course, a little bit of ballet thrown in for good measure!
Now, if you know me, you know I’m a total train fanatic. The rhythm of the rails, the whiff of engine oil, the countryside flashing past the window…it's all just so wonderfully romantic. And today was no exception. I hopped aboard the early morning train from Derbyshire, my pink tutu carefully tucked away in my travel bag.
Speaking of my trusty tutu, it was an absolute riot of pink – I mean, a seriously statement pink! Imagine bubblegum pink mixed with a dash of watermelon and a sprinkle of rose gold – that was the vibe I was going for. And wouldn’t you know it, it matched perfectly with the sunrise that streamed through the carriage windows!
The Coast is Calling!
Reaching Bridlington felt like stepping into a seaside postcard. Crisp, fresh air, the gentle hum of the sea, and the scent of salt and seaweed – just magical! I couldn't wait to explore the charming streets, the colourful shops, and the bustling harbour.
Now, if there's one thing that screams "adventure" more than a pink tutu, it’s spotting some adorable puffins. And guess what? I wasn't disappointed. After a brisk walk along the coastline, I found myself at a nearby wildlife reserve where, much to my delight, these quirky little birds were nesting and waddling around. They’re just so cute, with their tiny, brightly coloured beaks and clumsy gait, it's almost too much to handle. My Instagram followers went wild with the pics, and frankly, I don't blame them!
Ballet Bliss by the Beach
After all that excitement, I had a little ballet class in the park! I brought my own portable barre and grabbed my pink tutu from my travel bag. A little practice, a little stretch, a little twirl, the fresh air in my hair and the rhythmic waves in my ears…it was sheer perfection!
Even though I was solo, it didn't stop me from dancing my heart out! Who needs an audience when you have the beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire coastline as your backdrop, right? And, as always, I made sure to film some fun snippets for my TikTok.
You know, one of my favorite things about ballet is how adaptable it is. I love performing on grand stages, in theatres, but a beach? A park? A railway station (oops, maybe not a railway station!), it really doesn't matter!
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a fiery glow over the beach, I knew it was time to pack up my ballet gear and head back to the train station. I left Bridlington with a heart full of happy memories, my head full of ideas for future blog posts (puffins in pink tutus…hmmm…!), and, of course, a little pink tutu-induced glow that I can’t wait to share with the world!

Speaking of sharing, I can't stress enough how important it is to share the magic of ballet. So, my lovelies, I challenge you to embrace the joy of twirling and find a place where you can spin, stretch, and simply be your happiest selves in a pink tutu. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never touched a barre or worn a tutu before. Give it a go! Ballet isn’t just about pirouettes and pointe shoes; it's about expression, joy, and feeling absolutely fabulous!
