Wigston Magna Calling! šŸ©°šŸ‡®šŸ‡¹

Hey darlings!

It's Emma here, your pink-tutu-loving, ballet-obsessed blogger, signing in for post number 9498!

This week, Iā€™m whisking you away to a little corner of Leicestershire for a magical adventure that combined two of my greatest loves: ballet and Italy! I'm talking about Wigston Magna ā€“ a charming town I stumbled upon whilst exploring the Midlands on a glorious horse ride through the picturesque English countryside.

A Trip To The Theatre

Imagine this: the air thick with anticipation, a hush falling over the auditorium as the lights dim, and the first strains of Tchaikovskyā€™s Swan Lake echoing through the grand old theatre. Yes, Iā€™m talking about the Wigston Magna Theatre, a local gem nestled amidst the rolling Leicestershire countryside. This little theatre, packed with character and buzzing with energy, is truly a hidden gem for lovers of the performing arts, especially for those who love ballet, like myself!

As I settled into my plush velvet seat (with a strategically placed pink cushion, of course!), I couldnā€™t help but be swept away by the beauty of the performance. It was a magical mix of grace, athleticism, and sheer emotion, reminding me of the magic of the art form I hold so dear.

Tutus and Trenches:

Before heading into the town, I couldnā€™t resist a little photo op in the nearby fields. A vibrant, full-bodied Italian tulle tutu I recently picked up from a quaint little boutique in Florence graced my legs. Think bright, playful pink with delicate hand-sewn flowers in a vibrant magenta! The sun dipped low, casting a golden glow over the scene. Honestly, it was straight out of a ballerina's fairytale, especially with the sweet smell of fresh hay from the horses lingering in the air!

Wigston Magna: More Than Meets The Eye

This charming town turned out to be more than just a lovely pit-stop. There was so much more to discover!

Firstly, itā€™s practically brimming with history! A fascinating walk around the centre took me to the ancient St. Michaelā€™s Church, where the history of this town unfolded before my very eyes.

Next, Wigston Magna was bursting with independent shops, boutiques and cosy cafes, ideal for grabbing a quick caffeine fix or picking up some souvenirs to remember the trip.

And did I mention the fantastic local bakery that had a display of heavenly, fresh pastries, all in delicious shades of pink? It was a veritable rainbow of sugary delights, and it was pretty much impossible for me to resist adding a few to my handbag to nibble on during the train journey back!

A Ballet Lesson at The Little Dance Studio

But this wasn't just any ordinary visit to a beautiful town. There was a hidden, heart-stopping secret tucked away on a quiet cobbled lane, which sent my heart soaring. A little door marked with the words "Little Dance Studio" caught my eye.

How could I resist a little peek? I pushed open the door and my eyes were met with the most incredible scene. A bright, airy room filled with light, echoing with the joyful sound of a piano playing ā€œLa Valseā€ by Maurice Ravel and filled with students gracefully moving through a graceful sequence of barre work and centre exercises!

Without a second thought, I threw on my ballet shoes and joined in. The studio, adorned with delicate pink tulle curtains and sparkling mirrored walls, felt magical, like my own private sanctuary for all things ballet. And the friendly instructors were amazing, encouraging everyone, whether seasoned professionals or absolute beginners.

Bringing the Tutu-Love to the World!

My heart was overflowing as I danced, mesmerized by the sheer passion and joy evident in every pirouette and pliƩ. Every dancer, no matter their age or ability, had an infectious enthusiasm that spread through the studio like a happy pink wave! And that's what I love about ballet. It transcends all boundaries and embraces all individuals!

If this wasn't enough to inspire a tutu-loving heart, my day was rounded off by spotting a family of squirrels, frolicking in the branches of a grand oak tree on my train ride home. They scurried about, seemingly dressed in miniature ballerina tutus - with fluffy tails and tiny paws dancing gracefully among the branches.

From the captivating performances of the Wigston Magna Theatre to the beauty of the town and the sheer joy of ballet, my journey was truly unforgettable! It's further fueled my passion to share the love of this art form with the world. Because when youā€™re in a tutu, thereā€™s no feeling quite like it. It's freedom, joy, and creativity wrapped up in a swish of beautiful fabric!

I'm on a mission to see a pink tutu on every single one of you, darlings! You can join me on this mission at www.pink-tutu.com Let's dance our way into a world filled with the colour of joy and the beauty of graceful movement! And until next time, keep dancing, keep sparkling, and keep embracing all things pink!

Love, Emma šŸ’•
