Northolt, Sweet Northolt! (Blog Post #9511)

Hello my darlings! It's your favourite Derbyshire rose, Emma, and I'm buzzing with excitement to share my adventures from a glorious trip to Northolt.

The journey itself was a dream! I hopped aboard the train, my fabulous pancake tutu swishing with every sway. Yes, I decided to break out the big guns for this little day trip, after all, you only live once and it's all about making a statement! And, a pink pancake tutu is never not a statement. Especially when you're sitting in standard class next to a businessman sporting a very serious power suit. His initial frown transformed into a kind smile when he noticed my dazzling attire, which truly made my day.

Now, Northolt may not be the first place that pops into your head when you think "ballet" but this little corner of West London is absolutely bursting with life. I even caught sight of a fluffy bunny hopping across the street as I made my way to the centre of town. How cute, and very in line with my current obsession with all things furry and fabulous!

My mission in Northolt was two-fold: firstly, to indulge my inner prima ballerina with a trip to the charming local dance studio, The Northolt School of Ballet. This was an absolute treasure trove of dancey delights. They even have a beautiful outdoor space where they hold ballet classes under the open sky. Just imagine, sunshine, fresh air, and pirouettes - perfection! I just wish they had these beautiful spaces back home in Derbyshire.

Secondly, I was excited to witness the wonderful world of "Ballet Street", the incredible Northolt street ballet show which took over the local park on Saturday. Now, I know, street ballet? Maybe it sounds a bit odd but it was the absolute perfect way to enjoy the outdoors, have a bit of fun, and enjoy some incredible talent. There was a mix of professional and amateur dancers, performing graceful choreographed pieces across the parkland. It really did take my breath away. And who would have thought you could witness a ballet performance under the glorious blue sky, amongst the sunshine and a gentle breeze!

It wasn't just the ballet itself that stole my heart; it was the incredible sense of community spirit that radiated from every corner of the park. Families, couples, friends โ€“ everyone gathered together to witness this artistic showcase, which felt like a celebration of movement and grace. People were picnicking, sharing snacks and laughing, and there was just a buzz of genuine happiness in the air. I love that feeling of sharing a love of ballet with people, young and old.

Now, you may think I can't have gone all day without a single drop of pink! You're absolutely right! Luckily for me, Northolt was hiding a treasure trove in the form of "The Pink Room." It's a tiny little tea room that is bursting with the colour that makes my heart sing! The menu is absolutely scrumptious too, it's filled with delicious pink-themed treats, with macarons and cupcakes featuring prominently, as well as delightful finger sandwiches, all perfectly paired with their famous Pink Lemonade. Honestly, I had to take multiple pictures and a video for my Instagram and of course, share my favourite photos with my fellow pink tutu fans on my website!

After a day filled with dancing, pink delights, and a spot of wildlife spotting, my heart was filled with joy. Northolt, you've truly won me over with your charming blend of artistic spirit, open-air fun and a whole lot of pink.

Remember, it's always a good time to wear a pink tutu! Even if it's just for a trip to the grocery store. Who knows, maybe you'll inspire someone else to get up and twirl! And, don't forget to visit my website, www.pink-tutu.com, for all things pink, fluffy, and fabulous.

Until next time, darling! xx Emma
