Coulsdon Calling! Tutu Travels and a Pink Paradise πŸ©°πŸ’•

Hey darlings! It's Emma, your pink tutu enthusiast, back with another daily dose of all things ballet-tastic! This is post number 9535 (who even keeps track of these numbers, but hey, it makes me feel productive, haha!) on www.pink-tutu.com, where I share my adventures, from the twirling fun of ballet class to the thrill of seeing stunning productions, all with a healthy dose of pink fluffiness sprinkled in.

Today, I'm venturing out of my beloved Derbyshire and hopping on a train to Coulsdon. Now, you might think, "Coulsdon? Emma, what's there?!" Well, my lovely lovelies, you'd be surprised! While this small town in South London might not immediately spring to mind for a tutu-clad adventurer, I discovered it has a hidden gem – the Coulsdon & Purley Wildlife Garden!

You see, even this fashionista-turned-ballet-blogger has a soft spot for nature. There's just something magical about watching a little bird flit between the branches or spotting a butterfly fluttering through the air. Plus, it's the perfect way to recharge my ballet-batteries after a week filled with classes and rehearsals.

Speaking of batteries, I had a sparkling ballet class this morning. You know I adore a bit of glitter, so my tutu for today was a showstopper, with all the sequins and sparkle. It practically shimmered like the fairy lights around my bedroom (which are always on, don't judge! You know, for inspiration...). We were learning a new choreography to Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" – pure magical bliss, even with a few stumbles (my left foot has its own personality sometimes, trust me!).

Now, about Coulsdon... it's the quintessential English village, with quaint cottages and lush green spaces. As I strolled along the High Street, I couldn't help but think it would be the perfect setting for a ballet story! Imagine: a sweet young ballerina discovering her passion for dance amidst the charm of Coulsdon, twirling with a bright pink tutu on a sunny afternoon. Now, wouldn't that make for a wonderful ballet production?

The wildlife garden itself was a tranquil haven, teeming with chirping birds, playful squirrels, and buzzing bees. I even spotted a family of rabbits hopping around in the tall grass. I sat on a bench, gazing at the delicate blooms and listening to the rustling leaves. It was so peaceful, it was as though the world had faded away and I was just floating on a cloud of happiness.

And yes, I took plenty of pictures! It's not a true Emma adventure without some adorable photos in my signature pink tutu. After all, the world needs more pink, right? And tutus! Especially on animals! (But maybe not on the wildlife – I wouldn't want to upset them with my colourful attire! But, you know, just a thought!)

Speaking of colour, did you catch the Coulsdon Ballet School's performance last weekend? I know! You might be surprised by the talent in this little town! It was incredible. A dazzling display of talent and grace! It really warmed my ballerina heart!

The next few days are filled with more rehearsals and a very exciting meeting with the costume designer for a new show. They've let me be part of the creative process – you can only imagine the level of excitement here! I'm just so incredibly thrilled. Of course, a pink tutu is must-have for the main character – it’s just unwritten ballet law!

Well, that's all for today, my dears! Don't forget to check out my Instagram for some behind-the-scenes pics of Coulsdon! Remember, be fabulous, be bold, and always, always, wear a pink tutu! πŸ’•

See you tomorrow for another day of adventures and twirling!
