Edinburgh Adventures: Tutu and Travel! π©°
Hey darlings! Emma here, back with another blog post from your favourite pink tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed blogger! Today marks a massive milestone β this is post number 9636 on www.pink-tutu.com, can you believe it?! We've danced, we've travelled, and we've shared so much fun together along the way. And guess what? I'm even more excited to share my adventures with you today!
This week, I've been whisked away to the magical city of Edinburgh! A whirlwind of stunning architecture, cobbled streets, and breathtaking views from Calton Hill (the perfect backdrop for a twirl or two, obviously!), I'm totally in love. Edinburgh feels like a fairytale, like stepping straight onto the stage of a ballet production. Just picture it - the Royal Mile bathed in a dusky glow, the historic castle silhouetted against the night sky, and me, of course, twirling my way through it all in my signature pink tutu!
And speaking of ballet, my Edinburgh trip was extra special because it included a visit to the Edinburgh Ballet Festival. What a treat! Seeing these incredibly talented dancers perform was just pure magic. There were classic ballets like Swan Lake and Giselle, but also some stunning contemporary pieces that made me want to jump up on stage and dance alongside them. Oh, the dream!
One thing I've been loving about exploring Edinburgh is the fact that you can get pretty much anywhere on foot. The city is surprisingly walkable! So, of course, I've been wearing my ballet flats every day - comfy, stylish, and perfect for a ballerina on the go! (And for all the gorgeous photo opportunities, of course!). My current faves are these stunning pearl-studded flats I found at a charming little vintage boutique on the Grassmarket. Can you even imagine how perfectly they coordinate with my favourite pink tutu? π
Another Edinburgh highlight? Taking a trip out to the beautiful Edinburgh Zoo! Honestly, it's amazing. Who doesn't love watching adorable penguins waddle around and cheeky chimpanzees swinging from the trees? My personal favourite? The majestic Amur Leopards β the way they moved with such elegance and grace reminded me of a ballerina on pointe! Maybe that's why they call it "the graceful cat"! π
To top off this Edinburgh adventure, I indulged in the quintessential Scottish experience - a traditional afternoon tea! Imagine delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and the most delicious selection of cakes. All served in the most charming tearoom, complete with lace tablecloths and china teacups! I may have even snuck in a quick pirouette between sips of Earl Grey! π
Okay, my lovelies, I could chat about Edinburgh all day (and I probably will in future posts too!). But for now, I'm going to leave you with a little extra magic from Edinburgh:
Get creative! Edinburgh is overflowing with vibrant street art β itβs inspiring to see art taking to the streets like that. Go on, unleash your inner artist and experiment with a chalk drawing on a sunny day!
Support local! Edinburgh is bursting with quirky little shops and independent businesses, filled with all sorts of unique treasures. Go on, embrace the charm of these hidden gems!
Donβt forget the view! Be sure to explore Calton Hill β the views over the city are breathtaking and absolutely perfect for some gorgeous pictures, perhaps even with a tutu, darling? π
Edinburgh has captured my heart, and I already know I'll be back soon to explore some more of its hidden gems! In the meantime, Iβm heading back to Derbyshire, ready for my next ballet class! Oh, and don't forget - my dream is to see everyone twirling in a pink tutu! So go on, take a leap of faith and try a ballet class - you never know, you might discover a new passion!
Until next time, darlings! Remember to keep dancing and shining bright,
Emma π
