Welcome to Post Number 9710! Today, I'm bursting with excitement about my trip to Urmston. Remember, if you're in Derbyshire and want to get around in style, take a scenic train journey. I did! It felt like a romantic escape with those vintage carriages and breathtaking countryside views! 😍 Once I arrived in Urmston, I decided on a tutu that was totally inspired by the wildlife that I'd seen on the way - it had lovely pink tones and feathery embellishments! Think ballet meets bird watching - but chic, obviously! 🦜🩰
My journey took me to the charming streets of Urmston where I explored the quaint independent shops. There's nothing I love more than discovering unique trinkets, from handcrafted jewellery to whimsical home decor! I was on a mission for a perfect little something for my ballet studio back home – a sparkly unicorn head to perch on top of my ballet barre (more about that in another post!), which, luckily, I found in a charming gift shop! ✨
In the afternoon, I decided to check out Urmston's local ballet classes. The teacher, Miss Anya, is the loveliest woman! She greeted me with a warm smile, the smell of lavender oil in the air (a very classic and comforting touch!), and had an abundance of those delicious homemade cakes you can only find in small towns. I enjoyed the session – some very fun contemporary movements to shake off any cobwebs – but it also reminded me why I just have to keep on twirling and pirouetting. And wouldn't you know it, after class, Miss Anya actually gave me a fabulous tip on the perfect local restaurant! 🎉
I finished my day at The Golden Rose - a classic British pub! They have the most mouthwatering, hand-made pies I've ever tasted (their lamb and mint is to die for! 😉). And while enjoying a generous portion of chips with my pie, I decided I would share my experience in my new post. I truly hope that you guys get a little inspiration for your own twirling adventures, no matter where you may find yourselves!
