This trip is a little different than my usual city-hopping jaunts. Riding Into Adventure on Four Legs (and Iron Wheels)
You know how much I love horses! They're just so elegant and graceful – like a ballet on four legs! Of course, no journey would be complete without the iconic image of a horse and carriage, right? Well, while I couldn’t actually snag a carriage for my Wishaw jaunt, I managed to arrange a rather fab carriage ride! You'll have to check out the pictures, darlings – a perfect way to arrive in this whimsical town. It truly is a "Cinderella-esque" way to travel.
Trains & TutUs: A Beautiful Partnership
As a firm believer in sustainable travel, and with an unwavering passion for a train journey – a quintessential experience for a budding ballerina! The carriage was certainly a nice treat, but it wasn't my only form of transportation this trip! Nothing quite beats the serene, rhythmic lullaby of a train journey – perfect for reminiscing about my dance training in Derbyshire or brainstorming new pink-tutu ideas! Plus, all those captivating views along the route - countryside, charming towns, maybe even some grazing sheep and playful lambs - always leave me feeling so refreshed. And let's face it, traveling in style in my favorite bright pink tutu just adds an extra sprinkle of fabulous to the journey!
The World Through Tutu-Coloured Eyes
My blog isn’t just about pink tutus and fancy carriage rides, though they certainly play an important part! As always, I’ll be incorporating some wildlife-themed delights, highlighting local fauna, and finding hidden gems wherever I go. Wishaw is home to several nature reserves and even boasts a remarkable park, perfect for strolling, admiring the vibrant flora, and maybe even spotting a few local critters!

Of course, a dash of my signature pink will make its appearance, as will a vibrant tutu for my outdoor dance sessions – think delicate swirling twirls amidst the nature's grand dance floor!
My Wishaw Wish List: A Dance for Everyone!
There's nothing I love more than seeing a beautiful performance. Wishaw is not just a destination, but an inspiration – for everyone to discover the inner dancer within. While I’ll be attending some ballet performances at the renowned Scottish Ballet in Glasgow ( a quick and charming train ride from Wishaw!), I have some extra fun planned!
- Dancing under the Wishaw Sky: Imagine dancing under the starlit sky with a hundred other people! I plan to lead a free ballet-inspired movement session under the Wishaw night sky – something for every age, experience level and even those who are just curious about this wondrous world of dance.
Wishaw's "Pink Tutu Party": I'll be holding a pink tutu celebration at a local tea room! Come dressed in pink and your most dazzling tutu (or, dare I say, even just your most fabulously pink outfit). We'll enjoy traditional teas, share stories, and perhaps even attempt a few graceful dance steps together!
