Droitwich Darling, My Tutu Travels Continue!

Hello my gorgeous tutu-loving friends! Emma here, writing to you from the charming town of Droitwich Spa. I've just had the most delightful weekend adventure, and it involved, you guessed it - PINK tutus and BALLET! It's amazing how I've managed to create a life that pretty much revolves around these two things!

Oh, and you simply must see the fabulous new tutu I brought with me. It's a complete stunner! Let me paint you a picture: a vibrant shade of pink with a layer of fluffy, swirling tulle, adorned with shimmering sequins, oh and the most delicate little floral embroidery you've ever seen! Itā€™s almost like a cloud I could wear. I found it nestled among all the lovely ballet outfits in a small shop in Derbyshire, my home county.

And just picture the scenery I travelled through: rolling hills, grazing sheep, and even a friendly fox that popped its head out at the side of the track! Yes, my travel adventures took me by train this time! My favourite way to travel and take in the English countryside. You can be sure that I was the centre of attention with my ballet-themed suitcase (adorned with pink polka dots and my initials in dazzling rhinestones!). I just love spreading a little bit of my "tutu-joy" everywhere I go, especially on trains, donā€™t you?!

So, what's so special about Droitwich Spa you ask? Well, it's the perfect little English town - it's brimming with history and culture and thereā€™s the most charming little ballet school I ever did see. Letā€™s just say I did a little impromptu twirl on the cobblestones just outside, what a delight! I couldnā€™t resist it. I did, however, refrain from performing my latest ballet number in front of the passing tourists - I've still got some decorum left! I would be a right nightmare if I performed anywhere I went. I will try my best to reign it inā€¦ (until my next performance!)

Anyway, Droitwich Spa has its very own lovely ballet school called ā€œDroitwich Danceā€ ā€“ the perfect excuse for me to bust out my new tutu! I actually met the sweetest owner, Emily, she is like a ballet angel, completely smitten with ballet too. She welcomed me with open arms and invited me to join a special workshop, designed for aspiring ballerinas of all ages - even this old ballet bird, though I might not have as many years of dancing experience as some of the other dancers, but I definitely bring the ā€œballet sparkleā€!

Let me tell you, it was absolute joy to share my passion for dance with so many talented individuals. Emily had me in stitches with her stories. She had a mischievous glint in her eyes when she talked about her days of being a young dancer. She definitely has a few stories tucked away! Emily was also very kind, and invited me to stay in the little guest suite above the dance school. Oh, it was divine. Just perfect to unwind in after my class - even more divine with the fabulous vintage china she uses for afternoon tea and scones!

The workshop itself was exhilarating! We learned an enchanting new sequence inspired by the story of ā€œThe Little Mermaidā€ It's like a mermaid swimming through the water - graceful and flowing and so inspiring, too. Youā€™ve got to feel the freedom as you whirl about! The other dancers were lovely - they shared some excellent tips and I made new friends too! I felt such a strong bond between us all. I love it when fellow ballerinas share tips and tricks to improve their art ā€“ I even got to show off a little and whip out some of my ā€œballet-wisdomā€! We shared secrets and danced the night away (literally!), giggling and feeling all the happy vibes in the company of fellow ballet devotees! Itā€™s really important for ballet dancers, like me, to encourage each other.

And of course, I had to capture these moments. So, let me introduce you to the pink-tutu.com story from Droitwich Spa!

**(a flurry of photographs appear in a collage ā€“ Emma with the dancers, in the classroom, outside, in the local park, eating cake, even on a carouselā€¦.) (each photo has an interesting description ā€“ be as quirky as you like.)

*Letā€™s recapā€¦ my perfect day outā€¦ 1. Travelling by train through scenic countryside to Droitwich. 2. Staying at a ballet-inspired guest house with a gorgeous view and tea and cakes. 3. Spending a joyful day dancing and laughing in a magical workshop. 4. Making new friends, swapping ballet secrets and giggling over spilled tea. 5. Feeling full of inspiration to twirl my way to the next adventure! *

You know, it's moments like these that make my heart soar. It's a reminder that when you chase your passions and spread a little bit of joy, wonderful things can happen!

Iā€™m so happy I discovered Droitwich, and its special dance studio. If youā€™re ever in the area, be sure to check out the ballet classes and share a little bit of tutu-joy ! And as always, let me know what your tutu-inspirations are in the comments section!

Now, on to my next destination, a mystery to me until this morning... but trust me, you will love it. Itā€™s all thanks to a wonderful horse drawn carriage I spotted this morning as I strolled past the ballet school. My tutu is packed, ready for a new adventure and some new tutu stories!

So stay tuned! Emma xxx
