Speaking of steps, I couldn't possibly miss out on a ballet class this trip, and lucky for me, the Ealing Ballet Studio was just a short, scenic walk from my lovely B&B. Talk about convenient!
This is where my tutu adventure really took off. I was just strutting through Ealing Broadway with my signature ballet bag in tow (it's pink, obvs) when a couple of passerby’s stopped me and exclaimed, “Oh, wow! You look amazing in that tutu! Are you a ballerina?”
“Absolutely!” I chirped, feeling a blush creep up my cheeks. I love it when people get curious about my tutu adventures, and let's be real, it gives me the perfect opportunity to spread the Tutu Love! 💖 I’ve got to tell you, lovelies, there’s nothing like rocking a tutu to brighten someone's day. It's instant joy!
So, back to the studio. The class was phenomenal. We warmed up with some graceful barre exercises (always a delight!), then moved onto center work. You know, all the pirouettes, jumps, and graceful arm extensions that make your heart sing. 💖 It was a proper ballet bash and it’s super clear why the ballet world is totally smitten with Ealing. The atmosphere was so welcoming and supportive. I felt right at home amongst the twinkle-toed beauties. I even got a shout-out from the teacher for my fab pink tutu! 😉
Afterwards, feeling full of joie de vivre and ballerina vibes, I hopped on a double-decker bus and headed towards the heart of London to see "Romeo & Juliet" at the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. Talk about a treat! The actors were absolutely sensational, and I swear the stage was electric with energy!
Before the performance, I even treated myself to a scrumptious picnic in the beautiful green courtyard, munching on delicious little pastries while gazing at the towering London skyline. Just dreamy. ☁️
But let's rewind for a moment to the journey to Ealing. Oh, darling, the train ride was just divine! 🚄
The sunshine dappled through the carriage windows as I settled into my comfy seat, enjoying the calming sway of the train as it traversed the English countryside. My gaze fell upon a herd of graceful deer leaping through a field and a family of ducks frolicking near a canal. It's moments like these that make you realise just how magical this little island really is!
Then, a couple of fellow passengers spotted my tutu peeking out from my ballet bag! "Oh my gosh! You must be a ballerina, right?!"
It’s like every day is an opportunity to talk about the wonders of the world of ballet, and spread the joy. It’s a joy to get those “WOW”s, and make new friends over a love of dance and PINK tutues!
In Ealing, darling, life feels light and airy . I've discovered such a sweet little independent coffee shop on a cobbled side street where the owner's cat loves cuddles, and a truly amazing art gallery nestled amongst the charming brick buildings.
Oh, and I can’t forget the beautiful Ealing Green. Imagine, emerald grass, fragrant blooms in vibrant colours, and the sun shining down from a big, blue sky. Pure perfection! 💖
There's a certain je ne sais quoi about Ealing. It's charming and serene, with vibrant shops, cafes, and a captivating theatre scene. Not to mention those hidden corners brimming with beauty and laughter.
As my time in Ealing winds down, one thing's for sure: I'm already planning my next trip back! It's simply too enchanting to only experience once.
