Hello lovelies! It’s Emma here, bringing you a dose of pink-tutu-fied sunshine from a chilly, but beautiful Blyth!
Today's adventures take me far away from the rolling hills of Derbyshire, the heart of my ballet journey, to a quaint coastal town nestled in the north-east of England. And of course, I've brought my trusty travelling companion: a dreamy, frothy, tulle-tastic tutu in the most vibrant shade of pink imaginable. It’s the perfect way to add a splash of colour to the muted colours of autumn, and you can bet I’ll be twirling my way through the streets!
You know I adore exploring the UK by train, especially when there’s a ballet performance in the offing. I find something truly magical about arriving at a new destination, my suitcase filled with pink-tutu-worthy dresses and, of course, the perfect ballet shoes. And to make this trip even more special, I snagged a carriage with a big window that allowed me to enjoy the beautiful countryside whizzing by. I spotted a herd of deer grazing near a babbling brook and was mesmerised by the breathtaking colours of the trees turning red and orange. I’m not ashamed to admit I giggled with joy, imagining myself performing a graceful pas de deux amongst them!
Speaking of magical, tonight’s performance promises to be an absolute dream! A renowned ballet troupe is showcasing a dazzling contemporary piece, and I simply can't wait to lose myself in their beautiful storytelling through movement. Imagine, twirls and leaps that tell a tale of love, loss, and everything in between! It’s a magical kind of magic, the kind that reminds us of our shared humanity, the power of art, and the beautiful fluidity of movement.
Of course, I’ll be posting an outfit picture from the performance later tonight, and you better believe it will be PINK-TUTE-FIC! I can’t resist the perfect tutu with a flowy skirt, and a splash of sparkle, perfect for a night at the ballet!
Now, onto the reason I’ve decided to take you along with me today. I’m sharing my experiences and passion for ballet, but I also want to share something a bit closer to my heart. Today, I’m thinking about how ballet and fashion, can bring us together! You know how much I love encouraging everyone to put on a pink tutu!
Whether you’ve dreamt of pirouettes since you were little or you're curious to try something new, I believe everyone should try ballet at least once. It's about finding joy in movement, in building strength, grace, and discipline. I even have a special place in my heart for ballet street. The way those talented dancers take the beauty and elegance of ballet and weave it into their incredible street dance routines is something truly spectacular!
Imagine for a moment, a world where everyone felt the freedom to express themselves through dance, a world where a pink tutu felt like a badge of empowerment. That’s what I’m working towards, one twirl at a time. I want to create a space where ballet is accessible to everyone, where anyone can embrace their inner dancer! And if wearing a pink tutu while dancing is part of the journey, well, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
