It's Emma here, back with another blog post, and this time, we're heading for the beautiful seaside town of Bridlington! This is my 10,002nd post for you fabulous readers and, as always, I'm bringing you the most fabulous mix of tutu-filled fun, dreamy locations, and a whole lotta pink! 🎀
Today's adventure involved a beautiful journey by train – I love the way the countryside whizzes past, so picturesque! Of course, I had to wear my go-to pink tutu for the occasion – a vintage-style beauty with a gorgeous flowing skirt and shimmering accents. Honestly, who needs a first-class carriage when you've got a tutu-filled carriage? 😉
When I reached Bridlington, the air was filled with that crisp seaside breeze that always invigorates me! The seagulls were circling overhead, the salty air filled my lungs, and I couldn't help but feel like a graceful bird myself, ready to take flight! ✨
Bridlington is the perfect destination for a dancer like me. The Promenade is ideal for practicing some ballet-inspired stretches, the fresh air helping me loosen up for a fabulously fabulous day of fun. And, let's not forget the wildlife! The beach was buzzing with all sorts of feathered friends - ducks, gulls, and even a heron I spotted just strolling across the sand, as elegant as you like! 🦆🐦🦩
Of course, no visit to the seaside is complete without a delicious fish and chip supper – I have to say, Bridlington's fish and chips were just divine! Fresh, crispy, and perfect with a bit of mushy peas (sorry not sorry, but mushy peas are a must!). 😋
But the highlight of my day had to be a trip to the Bridlington Spa! This iconic venue is steeped in history, having opened back in 1906! They host everything from fantastic concerts to stand-up comedy, and of course, I had to find a reason to put on another tutu for the occasion! 🤩
The main auditorium is stunning, the grand architecture, beautiful chandeliers, and luxurious velvet seats creating the perfect atmosphere for a ballerina like myself! You can imagine me twirling my way up the grand staircase, the skirt of my pink tutu trailing behind me like a fairytale princess! 👸
It was even better that the Bridlington Spa was also holding a fantastic ballet showcase this evening. There were local dance schools performing, and some seriously impressive professional dancers showing off their incredible talents! I even got a few pointers for my own routines! 😉
You see, that's the magic of ballet - it doesn't matter where you are, there's always a reason to dance. Whether you're practicing on the promenade, admiring a beautiful performance, or just having fun at the seaside with friends, ballet brings joy to your soul. 🩰❤️
This little day trip just reinforces what I already know: life is better when you dance! 💕 So get those tutus out, lovelies, and embrace the magical power of dance wherever you may be! Whether it's in Bridlington, or your own back garden, don't be afraid to move your body, express your creativity, and embrace the tutu-ful life! ✨
