This time, I chose the romantic route of travelling by train, enjoying the scenic views of rolling hills and sheep-dotted fields. Nothing beats the nostalgic feeling of a train journey, the clickety-clack rhythm putting me in the mood for twirling and dreaming of elegant pirouettes!
Wishaw: A Quaint Gem in the Scottish Landscape
Upon arriving at Wishaw, I was immediately struck by the town's friendly atmosphere and picturesque architecture. This little gem truly encapsulates the charming spirit of Scotland. The cobbled streets, stone buildings, and lush gardens create a tranquil ambience that's a far cry from the hustle and bustle of city life. It felt like stepping into a charming period film!

As a ballet enthusiast, I couldn't visit Wishaw without incorporating my love for tutus. Today, I opted for an American-style tutu. My fellow Wishaw-ians were wonderfully enthusiastic and so welcoming. People of all ages – from tiny toddlers to silver-haired grandmas – were keen to explore the world of dance. We twirled and twirled until we couldn't twirl anymore! The square was bursting with laughter, music, and an infectious joy. I even got a few enthusiastic gents to try on a pink tutu! They all agreed it was a good laugh!
A Delightful Afternoon in the Scottish Air
As the afternoon unfolded, we enjoyed a delectable afternoon tea at a charming cafe overlooking the bustling town centre. The cakes were a delight! And the tea was just the perfect accompaniment to the beautiful sunshine that streamed through the cafe window.

Later, I ventured to the picturesque Calder Water, where I marveled at the vibrant hues of nature's colours. The crystal-clear waters were shimmering, the sky was a bright cerulean, and the vibrant green trees danced in the gentle breeze.
