Now, back to Bristol! My train ride here was, as always, an adventure. I'm so fond of train travel, especially when you're whizzing through the countryside with a comfy carriage and a good book. A perfect combination of old-world charm and contemporary wanderlust!
Bristol, however, is no countryside idyll. It's a vibrant, bustling city with a wild spirit that matches my own! 😉 It's also bursting with historical landmarks, cute cafes, and of course, a bustling theatre scene! Speaking of… I'm off to see a matinee of 'Swan Lake' later today, and I simply cannot wait! 🦢 You'd better believe I'll be rocking my new pink tulle tutu – a total statement for such a graceful ballet. 💖
A Touch of Whimsy:
Did I tell you about the incredible little animal sanctuary I found just outside of the city? They have rescued squirrels, hedgehogs, owls, and even a cheeky fox named Freddie! It was like something out of a children's story, with the sun dappling through the trees and sweet chirps and rustles filling the air. Honestly, it felt like stepping into a fairytale! 🐿️🦉🦊 It definitely brought out my inner child – who doesn't love cuddly creatures, right? 😄

- The Bristol Old Vic: One of the oldest theatres in Britain, it's got history oozing from every creaky floorboard and charming brick. Definitely worth catching a show. 🎭
- Bristol Dance Studios: I had to sneak in a ballet class, even if just for a quick drop-in. It's the perfect way to stretch your limbs, learn some new moves, and meet fellow dance enthusiasts. 🩰
The Bristol Harbour: Take a romantic walk along the harbour, soak in the city views, and watch the boats bobbing in the water. Pure relaxation! 🛳️

The green hills, the quaint villages, the charming horse stables... my Derbyshire roots definitely nurture my artistic spirit! ✨ Which is why, on my journey to Bristol, I decided to indulge in my other passion: horseback riding! 🐎 Imagine a gentle breeze through your hair, the sound of hooves on the path, and a peaceful valley unfolding before you. Ah, pure magic! ✨
You know what else makes me think of Derbyshire? My grandma's famous strawberry jam tarts! They’re a must-have when you visit, but of course, you can also get some of the tastiest treats right here in Bristol. 🍓
