Harrow, Harrumph and Harlequins: Tutu Travels #10093

Oh, hello darlings! It’s Emma, your favourite tutu-loving adventurer, reporting live from Harrow! This little corner of London felt utterly enchanting today, so naturally, I decided to grace it with my presence, all decked out in a brand-new, completely irresistible fairy tutu.

As a Derbyshirian lass at heart, my journey to Harrow was a magical one – a journey through rolling countryside, which thankfully included a delightful, romantic jaunt on a vintage horse-drawn carriage. (Imagine! A carriage and a tutu! This day was practically tailor-made for a pink-tutu-clad fairy princess.)

Now, I wouldn’t usually say I love train journeys, especially the tube, but today the platform felt buzzing with energy, as though every other passenger was about to leap onto the stage at the Royal Opera House. Or maybe that was just my infectious tutu magic at work! The pink sequins literally radiated positivity.

Once I arrived at my destination, Harrow’s quaintness swept me away like a ballerina twirling through the air. This charming little town seemed plucked straight from a whimsical fairytale, and honestly, my fairy tutu was perfectly in its element. (Don't worry, I also took my fabulous pink umbrella - you never know when a bit of English drizzle might show its face! But who cares about rain when you're rocking a fairy tutu? Rainbows, anyone? I think so!).

The day kicked off with a delightful ballet class at the local dance academy. Oh my heavens, those little ballerinas! So sweet and dedicated, and, naturally, totally captivated by my shimmering tutu.

(Confession: It's always such a treat seeing children's faces light up when I wear a pink tutu, it truly fills my heart with such joy. Especially the little boys, they look as though they’re thinking "maybe a tutu isn’t so silly, after all." The tiny twinkle of admiration in their eyes warms my soul.)

Later, I indulged in some delicious afternoon tea at a charming cafe tucked away on a side street. The cake was heavenly and the atmosphere was utterly enchanting - the kind of place where you could sit for hours lost in your own little fairytale world (which was perfect after an hour of vigorous ballet stretches! - I’m all for that life/work balance!).

In the evening, Harrow's famous "Harlequin Theatre" beckoned. Now, you know me, darling - anything theatrical pulls me in! I settled into my seat with a giggle, the velvet being incredibly comfortable against my delicate tutu.

The play was pure magic: a captivating mix of whimsy, laughter, and a touch of mystery. Just my kind of night. The whole theatre buzzed with such delight, I swore I heard a chorus of angels (and some quite impressive high kicks!) singing a tune about...well... pink tutus!

As I sashayed back to my little London flat - a grand townhouse in Notting Hill which has been lovingly decorated with feathers, mirrors, and sequins in every colour you can imagine - the city lights seemed to sparkle just as much as my tutu. Honestly, I've always loved how London twinkles at night. But I guess it felt a bit more magical than usual.

So, darlings, there you have it: a perfectly delightful day in Harrow. A true testament to the fact that anything is possible with a pink tutu on, and a pinch of fairy dust, sprinkled by me, of course.

Now, don't forget to check out my Instagram story for behind-the-scenes snaps and a closer look at this dazzling tutu! It's truly a beauty - just the thing to transport you to a world of pink whimsy, elegance and utter joy. And for those of you brave enough to follow in my fabulous footsteps, my #PinkTutuChallenge continues! Let’s spread the tutu-love and show the world what it’s like to live life like a fairytale princess (with or without a royal chariot). You know you want to!

Until next time, darlings,

Emma
