Saint Albans: Tutu-ing Around in Pink! 💕🩰

Hello my darlings! It’s your girl Emma, back from a whirlwind trip to the lovely town of Saint Albans, just a hop and a skip from my home in Derbyshire. This time, I traded my usual pink tutu for a gorgeous Italian tutu - oh yes, they do pink very well in Italy. This beauty, all ruffled and frilled with delicate beading, practically danced itself onto the train, and I felt like a little ballerina princess the entire journey. 🚂👑

As you know, Saint Albans has this really special energy to it. You walk down the cobbled streets and you just feel this sense of history, of ancient things. And of course, the iconic Abbey is absolutely stunning. But even surrounded by all this grandeur, I couldn’t resist breaking out some of my signature moves! The Romans would’ve loved to see my ballet street, I tell you! 😉

The highlight of my trip was the "Les Misérables" show at the Alban Arena. My love of musicals runs deep (especially if there’s a scene involving a grand chandelier - that’s always a bonus!), and seeing it performed live just sent my heart aflutter! Imagine a tutu-wearing gal like myself witnessing all that raw emotion, all that passion. It was like magic! The entire theatre was abuzz, it felt so alive!

But my trip wasn't just about glamour and culture, darling! We stumbled upon a sweet wildlife sanctuary on our walk. Imagine it, surrounded by nature, peaceful woodland and… ducks! I might have had a little impromptu ballet lesson with a gaggle of them - those feathers are quite good for whipping into a blur when you’re doing some fancy footwork, you know. 🦆🩰

Now, let’s talk about pink tutus and this crazy notion of mine about everyone wearing one. It doesn't have to be all pink - there’s a beautiful spectrum of pinks, a pink for every mood, every personality, and every shade of the human heart. Pink can be elegant, dramatic, sweet, bold. Think of all the creative freedom! And honestly, what could be more freeing than twirling around in a tulle confection? You've never felt more confident! 💖💃🏻

Speaking of confidence, I saw this incredible display of public art - huge murals celebrating local heroes and historical figures. They were all so vibrant and bold. And it struck me how they really embodied the Saint Albans spirit. Just like the murals, each one of us has something special to offer, a story to share, and an energy to spread. I reckon that’s why the Saint Albans atmosphere was so welcoming and heartwarming! It really inspired me to continue my mission: encouraging everyone, even you, darling, to give ballet a go. You've already seen my amazing ballet street, maybe you can even try it in your living room - trust me, you'll feel more like a star! 🤩

Now, I know you might be wondering, "Emma, how on earth did you get around all this, especially after that dance session with the ducks?" I must confess, this was no ordinary train trip. After being a bit tutu-d out (though never truly tutu-less!) I felt an inexplicable longing for the great outdoors, for fresh air. My solution? You guessed it - a handsome, grey stallion named Winston! 🐴 Winston is part of a lovely stable here in Saint Albans that offers riding tours - perfect for a little fairytale ride and getting that dose of fresh air, the best kind! It was Winston's first time wearing a pink tutu (he's a natural at twirling!) and everyone around seemed to agree that this horse and I were a perfect pair. 😂

This little trip, even though a quick one, reminded me how much life throws at us. So many incredible experiences, so much beauty. It was also a wonderful reminder to embrace the joy and the little things - and I just know I can count on the vibrant community of Saint Albans to continue spreading joy, a little bit of pink, and hopefully, a love of dance! 💕💖

Keep twirling!
