Eltham: A Whirl of Purple & Pink (Post #10205)
Hello my lovely pink-tutu-loving darlings! It's Emma here, and as always, I'm thrilled to be bringing you another slice of my life in the twirling, pink-tinted world. Today, I'm escaping Derbyshire for a delightful jaunt to Eltham, and let me tell you, this charming town is ready for a purple tutu explosion!
I absolutely love discovering new places. And there's something magical about arriving in a town by train. Watching the landscape glide past the window, with its patchwork of fields, sleepy villages and soaring chimneys is just so enchanting. It’s almost as if the world itself is telling a story!
Stepping off the train at Eltham Station, the first thing that struck me was the gorgeous, rambling, Tudor mansion just across the road. Eltham Palace, nestled amongst its sprawling green grounds, is positively bursting with history, and it’s been chosen as the setting for my new blog shoot. I felt like a real-life princess arriving at a fairytale castle!
This time, my outfit has been meticulously chosen to match the regal air of the place. A billowing, purple tutu, crafted from layers and layers of silk tulle, catches the sunlight as I twirl on the grand lawn. The lavender colour echoes the shades of the rambling roses and the breathtaking wisteria that clambers across the walls. And wouldn’t you know it? Pink flowers are scattered amongst the purple – a perfectly symbolic contrast, just as you'd expect from a true tutu aficionado!
My pink-tutu-loving readers know how much I adore wildlife, and Eltham Palace is teeming with fascinating creatures! I was completely charmed by the resident herd of deer grazing in the park. The little fawns were incredibly playful, leaping and bounding with joyful abandon. Their innocent joy reminded me of how wonderful it is to be present in the moment, surrounded by beauty.
Of course, I simply couldn't leave Eltham without a little bit of ballet, right? Luckily, I managed to find the Eltham Centre for Performing Arts just a stone's throw away from the palace. Stepping into the studio, I felt a surge of familiar joy as I slipped on my dancing shoes and prepared for a spirited ballet class. The studio was alive with music, with other dancers gracefully flowing and leaping with a shared passion.
Eltham, with its historical charm and dedication to the arts, is a place that truly resonates with my spirit. It’s also a perfect backdrop to inspire me to share my love of dance with the world. Every day, I aim to spread joy through my pink tutu, hoping to inspire others to embrace their own inner ballerina. So, are you ready to join the pink tutu revolution? It's all about celebrating the power of beauty, self-expression and, of course, those fabulous twirls!
Later this afternoon, I'm heading to a magical theatrical production, "The Princess and the Pea" at the local theatre. I'm already picturing a perfect pink tutu to complement the show, maybe one adorned with delicate silver glitter for extra magic. After all, life’s too short for boring tutus, wouldn't you agree?
