Barnet Bound: Tutu-ing About in a Sea of Green! š³š©°
#TutuBlog #10209
Good morning darlings! Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to Barnet and ready to share all the pink (and green!) fun!
Itās funny, Iām from the heart of Derbyshire, so you might think a girl like me is used to the greenest countryside there is. But there's something so magical about the London green, particularly in places like Barnet with its historical charm and leafy nooks. And let me tell you, a green tutu against that backdrop is pure magic!
So how did I end up in Barnet? Well, itās a ballet dancerās life, always a ballet shoe away from an adventure. This time, the lure of a brand new production of āGiselleā at the fabulous Peacock Theatre was irresistible. My inner prima ballerina just had to go!
The journey itself was half the fun, of course! A little inter-county jaunt on a charming little train with old-world charm and squeaky seats, I might add - thatās how I like to travel. Makes for the perfect people-watching opportunities, you see, plus you never know when a delightful character will grace you with a āgood morningā as you make your way to the refreshment carriage.
Once in Barnet, it was all about immersing myself in the local vibes. I must admit, a wander down the cobbled streets while munching on a freshly baked croissant from the local boulangerie had a touch of la vie en rose to it. Honestly, wouldnāt it be fantastic to hop on a horse-drawn carriage around these lovely streets? Iām thinking it would be the perfect way to celebrate the sheer joy of movement!
Speaking of movement, I must confess I had to pay a little visit to the local ballet studio. Who am I kidding? Thereās always time for a ballet class, right? It was glorious to see local talent shine through their graceful moves and even catch glimpses of little ballerinas, twirling like the future stars they truly are.
Of course, the highlight of the day was the show at the Peacock Theatre! The "Giselle" production was nothing short of breathtaking. Such talent, such storytelling through dance! There was something so inspiring about the entire performance ā every graceful step, every expression. I almost jumped onto the stage to join the dancers!
It wouldnāt be a true #TutuBlog post without a little dose of pink tutu action, would it? So, picture this: I had this gorgeous emerald green tulle tutu with me ā my favourite green shade ā which just screamed "Barnet vibes," you know? But then, the most fabulous pink top just happened to be at the bottom of my bag, a gorgeous cherry blossom pink, which would be the perfect pop of colour for the photo. Thatās what I call a true ballet moment! I snapped some pics outside the theatre, with the green of the surrounding gardens perfectly mirroring the colour of my tutu. The result? Tutu-licious It was practically screaming, āIām Emma from Pink-Tutu.com and I love my tutus! Join the tutu revolution! Embrace the joy of dance!ā
Now, dear reader, if you havenāt heard of my pink tutu movement, then what have you been doing? I truly believe in bringing the pink tutu spirit to everyone, everywhere. So letās get those pink tutus on, even if just for a morning walk in the park or a spontaneous twirl in your living room. It's about unleashing the joy of movement and celebrating that magical sense of self-expression we all possess!
That said, you know my mantra, dear reader? Donāt just think it, do it! Grab a tutu ā pink, green, purple, whatever tickles your fancy ā and get dancing. Youād be surprised how many smiles it will spread, how many people youāll inspire. Letās make this the year where every day feels like a tutu adventure!
On a lighter note, my Barnet experience wasn't all about ballerinas and twirls. My love for wildlife shines through wherever I go. So, before I even boarded my little train ride back to Derbyshire, I had to find a spot where nature could do its thing.
And Barnet had the perfect little pocket of peace for me ā a small park with the most enchanting squirrel family Iāve ever seen! The cheeky little creatures were busy collecting acorns, chasing each other through the branches and just generally being adorable. They reminded me to embrace the little joys, even if it means stopping to watch a squirrel get a nut stuck in a tree. Life is a journey, my darlings, and a good journey, youāll find, involves all sorts of things.
The day in Barnet, with all its little joys, will be etched in my memories forever. The beautiful dance, the chirping squirrels, the ballet class, and most importantly, the incredible pink tutu magic - itās exactly how a girl from Derbyshire wants to travel, explore, and live!
Until my next tutu-filled adventure,
Your ever-tutu-ing friend, Emma š
