#TutuBlog 2024-08-28 - Guten Tag from Germany!

Hello my gorgeous tutus, it's Emma here with blog post number 10283! Isn't it exciting? Well, I am utterly thrilled, because I'm writing to you from sunny Germany! I finally made it!

Let me tell you all about the journey, which was as much fun as getting there! Now, as you know, my usual mode of transport is my beloved horse, Belle, and a comfy carriage, but on this trip, I decided to go by train. I was on the train for ages, but you know me, a girl can never be bored with a good book, some pink cupcakes and my new ballerina themed travel set. (I got a whole new collection, with a little ballerina pouch, a pink notebook, and matching stationery, it was perfect). I’m telling you, even boring journeys become exciting when you’re fully equipped!

Anyways, I finally reached this delightful little village nestled in the countryside. And you won’t believe what greeted me? A HUGE, fluffy white horse! Now, if there’s one thing I love more than ballet (almost!), it's horses! And this magnificent creature practically stole my heart right there and then. I’m just so mesmerised by these graceful creatures, their strength, their intelligence...it’s almost like magic! I even managed to sneak a quick ride, it was like a dream, and then...I saw it!

That’s right my dear tutus, it wasn't just a gorgeous horse waiting for me. But a beautiful old stables right behind it. Oh, my tutus, I swear, the doors were covered in pink ivy, it felt like it was straight out of a fairytale. I practically leaped out of my carriage! I’ve been dreaming of stables just like this since I was a little girl. Can you imagine all the horses? The grooms! The mucky boots! I know I know, my dreams are all about horses, dancing, and pink! I guess you can call me a “horse whisperer in a tutu” ha! But let’s just say, my love affair with this place had only just begun.

Now, about the village, my lovelies, it's just SO quaint and charming, full of brightly colored houses with flower boxes bursting with blooms. It's like walking through a picture postcard. And the air...well, it smells like sunshine and fresh pastries, and oh my gosh, the bakeries. Let's just say that croissants have found a new bestie in me!

Speaking of sweet things, I think it's time for me to share the really exciting part of my trip, you guys. Yes! The thing I’ve been most excited about. That’s right, guess where I was in Germany? Did you guess it? I can’t believe it, a place named…. (Drumroll, please)...

"The Home of the Tutu".

Oh my tutus! This place was straight out of a ballet dancer's dream! It was so perfect, I felt like a ballerina stepping into an enchanted wonderland. Not only was it called "The Home of the Tutu", but I couldn't believe how fitting it was, it even felt like a stage set. And that was just the town! I could hardly contain myself.

Pink Perfection: The Tutu Boutique

Firstly, there was this AMAZING tutu boutique. Oh. My. Tutus! They had everything - from classic fluffy tutus in every shade imaginable to modern, edgy, sparkling designs that just begged to be twirled. And let's talk about pink - they had pink in every form! Bubblegum, rose, blush, fuchsia, every single shade! I was overwhelmed (in a good way, of course!), and I ended up picking out three incredible tutus to take back with me. Oh, and I’m so excited, you're going to love my latest YouTube video - I even made a "tutu try-on haul" for all of you, because I simply can't wait to share my excitement about these perfect tutus with you. Be sure to check that out on www.pink-tutu.com

Ballet Bliss: The Local Dance Academy

And oh my tutus, that wasn’t all, I even popped into a local ballet academy - which just happened to have the prettiest pink studio I have ever seen! Now, it is true, I've tried a class in just about every ballet academy imaginable. From tiny studios in my lovely Derbyshire, to fancy, luxurious academies all around the world. You name it, I’ve tried it. But believe me when I tell you that this place, in “The Home of the Tutu", was completely magical! As soon as I entered, it felt like home. Not only was the studio stunning, with walls painted in a delightful ballet pink and the biggest, fluffiest pink carpet (and of course the mirrors covered in twinkly fairy lights) it had a welcoming atmosphere that had me falling in love immediately. And oh my goodness, I met the sweetest teacher called Helga! She is a real ballet legend - such elegance and a wonderful teacher, you could just feel the passion radiating from her as she moved gracefully around the room. And of course, as a pink tutu lover and an absolute believer in the transformative power of ballet, I simply couldn’t resist joining a class. Helga made it easy for me, and before you knew it, I was twirling and pirouetteing to the delight of all my classmates, the teacher, and the lovely woman selling sweets at the front desk! What can I say, it was an incredible day and I truly had to resist telling Helga to adopt me and move in!

I can tell that this beautiful place is going to be an essential part of my life and my ballet journey, you have my word!

More Adventures in Germany!

But my dear tutus, my adventure wasn’t over. Germany still had more magic to share with me.

This adorable little village, nestled right in the heart of Germany, has everything you could dream of, from bustling markets (which are absolutely brimming with handmade pink and ballet themed crafts!) to stunning nature walks, not to mention a friendly locals and of course…

More stunning, incredible horse farms! Do you ever feel like you can't resist? Like these beautiful animals call out to you from deep within? I am now determined to spend an evening learning from a real expert in German Horsemanship!

Let’s be honest, I’m a girly girl, and the romance and charm of German history just add so much to my travels, it’s simply magical!

But there’s just one thing - the biggest problem, I have to admit… the people in “The Home of the Tutu” just haven’t heard about ballet street and how fun and cool it is! They all know their ballet steps, but they can't even imagine doing their barre on a street corner to upbeat dance tunes, and they’re absolutely mortified about wearing a pink tutu outside of their homes.

They say it is too outlandish, it isn’t socially acceptable!

Oh tutus, can you imagine?

“The Home of the Tutu" but not one person is willing to be daring and fabulous and show their true pink tutu spirit on the street! Oh tutus! There’s just one thing for it! I’m gonna do what I do best! Get everyone here to wear a tutu in public and try a ballet class or even a Ballet street session - so I’m going to take the lead on this one. That is exactly what my "Dance Everywhere Campaign" is for!

But first - time for some more exploration and beautiful walks.

So - don’t forget to subscribe to www.pink-tutu.com I’m posting all the latest developments from the Tutu Capital!

Now I am off to try some freshly baked Strudel.

Until next time my darlings! Love Emma.

(I'll be sure to tell you all about the exciting things I learned in that German Horsemanship course, don’t worry).
