Bromsgrove: Tutu Tales & Train Trails 🩰💖

Post No. 10292

Hello darlings! Emma here, writing to you from the charming town of Bromsgrove! It feels so good to be back on the road, exploring new places and spreading the pink tutu gospel. And oh, let me tell you, this town has been an absolute dream for a tutu-loving soul like me.

Today, my journey started with a rather unexpected adventure. As you know, I adore traveling by train. It’s so much more glamorous and far less stressful than flying, and allows for the most spectacular countryside views. This morning, however, the railway gods had a different plan. My usual train was cancelled! Panic? No, my lovelies, not me. I embraced the chaos, chuckled at the bemused commuters, and decided to take a spin on a horse-drawn carriage!

Now, you may think that a horse-drawn carriage is not the most conventional way to get around, but let me tell you, it was absolutely delightful. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the gentle sway of the carriage felt like a dream. I swear I could have stayed in that carriage forever, my pink tutu swirling gracefully around me as I inhaled the fresh countryside air.

Arriving in Bromsgrove, I was immediately struck by its quaint charm. The little shops, the flower-laden balconies, the winding lanes - it felt like stepping into a scene straight out of a Jane Austen novel! My heart skipped a beat when I spotted the Bromsgrove School of Dance. How could I resist popping in? And of course, I had to twirl my way around the studio in a new tutu I’d bought at a local boutique. It’s a breathtaking number in a vibrant, shimmering pink - a real eye-catcher. I'm calling it "The Bromsgrove Ballet".

After a glorious ballet class - I really must tell you about my new instructor, she’s incredible - I found myself enjoying afternoon tea in a cosy tea room called "The Pink Flamingo". Perfect! The atmosphere was so welcoming, and the cake… well, let's just say it was heaven in my mouth.

Bromsgrove truly felt like a place where I could spend the rest of my days. It’s so peaceful and serene, but with a little sparkle. It even reminded me of home, a little bit, with its quaint, English charm. Derbyshire is lovely, but there's a certain undeniable allure to this town.

Speaking of home, I have some exciting news to share with you! The "Tutu-To-You" workshop that I've been talking about is finally coming to Derbyshire. That’s right, my darlings, we’re bringing the magic of tutu-making to the beautiful countryside, teaching you everything you need to know about sewing, designing, and, of course, twirling!

The workshops are open to all - from complete beginners to experienced sewists. It’s about expressing yourself, having fun, and embracing the wonder that comes from creating something beautiful with your own two hands. Plus, we'll be incorporating pink into everything! (Think: pink sewing machines, pink embroidery thread, and, of course, plenty of pink fabric!) It’s going to be absolutely phenomenal, and I can’t wait to see you there. You can find out all the details about the workshop on the Pink-Tutu website. Don’t miss out!

As the sun began to set over Bromsgrove, I found myself walking through the stunning Wildlife Park. It’s a hidden gem of the town, with so many incredible creatures to see. I especially loved the otters! They were so playful and mischievous, diving in and out of the water. It’s incredible how nature can bring such a sense of wonder and peace.

As always, I found so much inspiration in the unexpected. I may have begun my day feeling disappointed about a cancelled train, but I ended it feeling utterly charmed by the beauty of this little town. The best things in life, as I often say, happen when we’re open to adventure. I just know this isn’t the last time I'll be twirling through Bromsgrove.

Remember, my lovelies, keep those tutus twirling, your hearts open, and never be afraid to embrace the unexpected.

See you soon, Emma
