Ashington Adventures in Pink: A Tutu-tastic Day Out!
#TutuBlog Post 10298 - www.pink-tutu.com
Hello my darling tutu-lovers! Itās your favourite Derbyshire dancer, Emma, and today Iām whisking you away to the charming town of Ashington, nestled in the heart of Northumberland. This little gem was a day trip for the ages, packed with ballet delights, pink delights, and wildlife adventures to boot!
You know I'm a girl who loves her trains, so it felt only right to embark on this journey with a steaming hot cup of Earl Grey and a delicious cream scone. (What's a journey without a proper cream tea?) The countryside scenery whizzing by my window made me feel as though I was travelling back in time. But let's be honest, it's hard to take in the passing fields when you've got a show-stopping pink tutu strapped to your back! (Pink, of course, is the only colour befitting a ballet-obsessed girl like myself.)
Ashington welcomed me with open arms. My first stop? A lovely little tea room right near the train station. The kind of place that serves up homemade cakes and a smile with every cuppa. The aroma of freshly baked scones and warm coffee instantly calmed my pre-show jitters. This tea room became my little sanctuary before diving headfirst into a spectacular dance performance at the Ashington Arts Centre.
Speaking of spectacles, this wasnāt just any performance; it was an astounding rendition of āThe Sleeping Beautyā! The costumes were exquisite, the dancers were graceful, and the entire theatre seemed to be glowing with an ethereal magic. There were so many twirls and leaps that it felt like my heart was skipping a beat with each and every pirouette!
But wait, thereās more! After the show, I was absolutely bursting with inspiration. How could I simply walk away without indulging in a little impromptu ballet-ing? So I headed over to the local park and let loose. Letās just say I put on a mini performance that had everyone staring in admiration. There was something about those verdant surroundings, the soft sunlight filtering through the trees, and the echo of my dance steps that just feltā¦ magical!
Later in the day, I stumbled upon a wildlife sanctuary, a delightful oasis right in the middle of town. They have rescued hedgehogs, a gaggle of rescued geese, a feisty fox, and even a fluffy baby rabbit who was hopping all over the place. This is why I love travelling by train. I never know what hidden gems Iām going to find!
One thing I love about being a ballet dancer is the incredible feeling of freedom it brings. When I dance, I feel like I can take on the world. So, this day trip to Ashington felt extra special, brimming with joy and discovery, reminding me why I love what I do. If thereās anything I've learned from ballet, itās that even a little dance can turn any ordinary day into an extraordinary one.
So, my lovely tutu-lovers, I hope youāre all inspired to take a leap of faith and try something new today. You never know what wonders you might find. Whether youāre dancing in a park, twirling in a tutu, or enjoying a delicious cream tea, always remember to embrace the beauty of every moment.
And remember, a pink tutu never fails to put a smile on your face, so donāt be shy ā put on your tutu and show the world how you feel!
Until next time, stay bright, stay pink, and stay fabulous!
Your dancing darling,
Emma
