London Calling! šŸ©°šŸ’– #TutuBlog #10321

Hello my darling darlings! It's Emma here, fresh off the train and buzzing with excitement! Iā€™m back in the big smoke, London, ready to dance my little socks off (but definitely keeping the tutu on, darling!)

Today I'm bringing a splash of colour to the city streets with a vibrant cyan tutu - yes, a bold statement even amongst the bold, bright chaos that is London. The tutu is swirling as I type, Iā€™m sure you can hear the tutus' ruffles fluttering, or perhaps thatā€™s just the wind whipping through my hair. (You see, dear readers, I'm a true ā€œfeeling the breezeā€ kind of gal).

Today is all about ballet! You all know I canā€™t be in the capital without catching a performance or two, and even better, there's a wonderful ballet class just around the corner!

London really is my happy place, you know? The energy is contagious, and it makes me want to twirl until my heart explodes. Even the big red double-decker buses look like theyā€™re ready to burst into a balletic waltz, their curved rooftops hinting at graceful arching.

But first, I need a coffee, darling! And maybe a scone. My tummyā€™s grumbling. Donā€™t judge, youā€™re welcome to share, and letā€™s grab a latte, mine is almond and caramel - itā€™s almost as yummy as a perfectly whipped foamy latte served by a handsome barista. A girl can dream, right?!

Then, off we pop to the Royal Opera House, where the majestic architecture adds to the dramatic performance! I'm particularly looking forward to "Giselle". The drama! The swirling emotions! And let's be honest, the amazing costumes! The ballet will be beautiful, a spectacle of artistry I am so excited to experience again, to be swept away and lost in the dance and the storytelling. Itā€™s almost like you become one with the tutu-clad dancers and the swirling musicā€¦ almost!

But speaking of twirling and dancing, who here is itching for their weekly ballet class?! The steps flow effortlessly on days like these, you feel every bit of power and elegance; the stretch, the lean, the reach ā€“ it's all so thrilling! Then there's the exhilaration of leaping, a light as a feather, defying gravity! Thatā€™s what Iā€™m hoping for at leastā€¦ or maybe just an elegant relevĆ© this week, with some perfectly placed pirouettes. Fingers crossed!

There's something so captivating about the discipline of ballet; its elegance and grace, but with a strong core! The sense of strength combined with delicate, refined movementsā€¦ Iā€™m obsessed! Maybe this is why ballet dancers always look so incredible ā€“ we just know how to move!

You canā€™t deny the undeniable impact of ballet, on the body, mind, and soul! This beautiful, artistic, graceful form is everything and more, for those of us lucky enough to feel the thrill of dancing in our own shoes or in tutus, a magnificent tutu! It truly does make you feel like royalty, or like a whimsical princess at the very least. It's my inner princess who finds solace in dancing in this magical space. A space for grace and artistryā€¦ my happy place!

Speaking of feeling royal, after the class and ballet performance I plan to treat myself to afternoon tea. Cucumber sandwiches? Check! Tiny scones with clotted cream? Absolutely! A selection of fine pastries that are like little pieces of art? Absolutely! London truly is a delightful experience in every way, and letā€™s not forget afternoon tea.

However, after my tea-tastic day I need some open air. So we're hopping on a train ā€“ nothing beats a train ride. London to Richmond Park, one of the largest parks in the city! I love its vastness and beautiful trees, and itā€™s the perfect place for an evening walk. Maybe we'll see some deer. (No, you're not imagining things. There really are deer in Richmond Park!). But for now itā€™s time to enjoy the rest of this lovely London day!

For tomorrow I'll be joining a horse-riding club! A few gentle canters and trotting through the countryside should work my leg muscles nicely. Oh yes, and of course, I'm looking for a pretty spot for a photo shoot in my latest floral tutu - canā€™t have a trip to London without a photoshoot in my signature style - my personal style! My aim, remember, is to encourage everyone to give ballet a go, wear a tutu, and embrace the grace of the tutu on your next adventure! After all, a pink tutu looks stunning in any sceneryā€¦ from rolling hills, to busy cities. So come on darlings, let's dance to the rhythm of our hearts!

To see what Iā€™m up to this week check my stories on the @pink-tutu Instagram page! It's where my adventures, fashion, and love of ballet and wildlife come together to create my little piece of heaven.

But that's it for today! Have a great day and don't forget to put on your favorite tutu and twirl until the stars come out!

Emma x
