Remember how I mentioned I was on the hunt for a brand new, perfectly pink tutu to add to my collection? Well, darling, my search led me to a little gem of a shop tucked away in the heart of Rome – it's called "Tutu Amore" and let me tell you, it was pure Italian perfection. They handcraft the most breathtaking tutus there, with such intricate detail and absolutely exquisite craftsmanship. I mean, they even hand-painted a tiny ballet slipper on the bottom of mine! 🩰
So, picture this: me, dressed to the nines in my brand-new pink, hand-painted tutu, boarding the Caledonian Sleeper to Aberdeen! The carriage felt so luxurious, I swear the cushions whispered “bon voyage” as I settled in! 🚂 And it was such a picturesque journey - I mean, can you imagine being able to enjoy a ballet book and a delicious cuppa whilst surrounded by stunning views of the Scottish countryside? It felt like a scene straight out of a fairytale! ✨
When I arrived in Aberdeen, my senses were tickled by the fresh sea air! You see, I just love how Aberdeen feels so invigorating and spirited - the city definitely holds a bit of a magic! 🌊 Aberdeen, you are so full of surprises! From the charming cobbled streets to the stunning coastal walks, this city is absolutely perfect for a ballerina seeking adventure. 💕
Aberdeen, my dear, I must confess you absolutely stole my heart with your fascinating history and architectural gems. It’s like a journey back in time, from the majestic St. Nicholas Kirk, the glorious King's College with its stunning old architecture to the iconic Maritime Museum. It's a city that has embraced its past, preserving the rich tapestry of its history. I mean, did you know there is even a ‘dancing lady' sculpted onto a building in Union Street? You'd better believe I got a perfect photo!
Now, it wouldn't be a true ballet adventure without experiencing Aberdeen’s fantastic dance scene! Of course, I had to drop in on the lovely folk at the Aberdeen Arts Centre, home to so much creativity and talent, from theatrical productions to dance showcases. I just adore how this centre brings art to life, fostering creativity and celebrating all forms of expression. Let’s just say I came away completely enchanted by the graceful artistry and sheer passion that filled every corner of that building. 🥰
One of my absolute highlights in Aberdeen was a trip to the Seaton Park! It’s this stunning park with the most delightful and quirky animal sculptures nestled amongst its sprawling lawns. And yes, of course, I even caught some delightful ballet moments during my adventures! I swear I saw a squirrel doing a graceful plié whilst gracefully balancing on a twig! 🐿️
It would be an injustice to my fellow Tutu Lovers to visit Aberdeen without giving a nod to the beautiful Balmoral Castle! You see, darling, it’s where royalty once danced! While the majestic Scottish Highlands are breathtaking in their natural splendor, a touch of pink tulle always adds a little extra elegance, right? ✨
Honestly, Aberdeen you absolutely charmed me! Every corner was a fresh surprise. I am truly enchanted by your vibrant spirit, beautiful landscapes and passionate people.
Now, to inspire my fellow ballet-lovers out there, darling, let’s all get out there, embrace our inner ballerinas, and twirl with joy! 💖 Embrace the pink!
