TutuBlog #10436: Barking with a Cyan Tutu!

Oh darling, you wouldn't BELIEVE the whirlwind of a week I've had! My little pink-tutu-clad heart has been soaring through the skies, or should I say, the carriages of the East Coast Main Line... Yes, my dears, it's all been about trains this week! It all started with a trip to York for the annual Ballet Theatre's Gala. They held it at the gorgeous Grand Opera House - all gold gilt and velvet seats. I squeezed myself into a stunning fuchsia pink tutu with feather trims, oh the drama! The performance was out of this world, full of soaring leaps and twirls. I can't wait to recreate some of those moves in my next ballet class!

But my adventures didn't stop there. My next stop was Edinburgh, oh, Edinburgh, what a city! The streets were bustling with people and I even saw a few people rocking pink tutus - you've just got to spread the joy, darlings! I even had a spontaneous photo shoot in front of Edinburgh Castle, feeling like a princess in my powder-pink tutu with delicate lace trims. Who needs a glass slipper when you have a perfectly good pointe shoe?

One of my absolute favourite things about Edinburgh was the beautiful botanical gardens. So much green and serenity after the hustle and bustle of the city! You know me, I'm a big animal lover, and these gardens were just bursting with wildlife! From plump, preening peacocks to tiny little squirrels, I had the most wonderful time. It truly was a feast for the senses, just like the delightful vegan afternoon tea I indulged in!

Speaking of indulgence, you wouldn't believe the ballet shop I discovered in Edinburgh. It was a veritable wonderland of tutus, leotards, and pointe shoes, all in the most fabulous colours you can imagine! It was truly irresistible. I came away with a gorgeous, turquoise blue tutu, a splash of colour against the dreary British winter! It might just be the most perfect addition to my already extensive tutu collection... whispers It wouldn't be a surprise if a couple more made their way home with me!

Now, I know what you're thinking - why Edinburgh and York? Well, I've always been drawn to the historic cities of the UK. There's just something magical about them, with cobblestone streets and hidden alleyways, and a whisper of centuries past. They evoke a sense of romance and history, perfect for twirling and dancing. They just beg to be explored by a girl in a tutu!

But hold your horses (pun intended!), there's more! You see, after Edinburgh, I took a train all the way to Northumberland - you know, that stunning county up north? I love those wide-open skies and rolling countryside. What could be better than riding through the rolling hills with a gentle breeze in your hair...wearing, of course, a fluffy, pale pink tutu. It's quite the fashion statement in Northumberland, darling! I even stopped by Bamburgh Castle, so regal, so picturesque! It truly made me feel like a queen in my sparkling, coral pink tutu, which, if I might say, made me look like I had just stepped out of a fairytale.

There's nothing quite like a good horseback riding trip, is there? Feeling the wind in your hair, the sun on your face... it's truly an experience that nourishes the soul, just like a perfectly executed pirouette. I don't think I'll ever tire of it. But I confess, I did sneak a quick detour into Alnwick Castle - that castle, you know, from Harry Potter. And, naturally, I just had to twirl around in my azure blue tutu in front of it, making myself a proper wizarding queen!

Finally, after all my travels, I found myself back in my little Derbyshire village, tired but invigorated. And you know what? I’ve decided that this journey was about so much more than simply exploring beautiful places. It was about finding inspiration everywhere I looked - in the magnificent architecture, in the rustling leaves, in the lively city streets, in the graceful animals. It was about realizing that life itself is a dance, and it’s something to be embraced, embraced with as much joy, as much pinkness, as much passion as you can muster.

So, my lovelies, go out there, explore, discover! Whether it's a new city or a new way to wear your tutu, the world is your oyster! But always remember to find that inner sparkle and embrace it! After all, there's nothing more enchanting than a girl with a dream and a pink tutu, dancing to the rhythm of her own life.

Until next time, stay sparkling and always remember, pink is the new black!

Yours eternally, Emma
