Hello my darling Tutu-licious friends! It's your favourite pink-loving, twirling-mad blogger Emma, and I'm thrilled to be back with another instalment of #TutuBlog. Today, I'm whisking you away to the charming coastal town of Ramsgate in Kent, where I've been enjoying the crisp sea air and the company of some particularly charming seagulls who have a penchant for pink tulle – a girl after my own heart! 🐦💖
Train Tracks to Tutus:
You see, getting to Ramsgate was a dream in itself. There’s something so magical about journeying by train, watching the countryside whizz past like a ballet of green and grey. I tucked myself into a carriage by the window, and yes, my trusty pink tutu travelled with me! The fabric rippled like a graceful dancer's skirt with every turn of the track. My fellow passengers may have chuckled, but I swear the pigeons outside the station cooed approvingly.
Seafront Serenade:
Ramsgate itself was an absolute delight! I couldn't resist a walk along the bustling seafront, with its pastel-coloured shops and buzzing cafe culture. The sun was beaming down, painting everything in a golden hue that reflected beautifully in the glittering sea. The pier stretched out like a delicate arm reaching into the waves, a perfect picture postcard moment.
But here’s the thing: a good walk always calls for a little performance. I couldn’t resist slipping into a pirouette as I gazed out at the waves crashing against the shore, my pink tutu billowing like a gentle breeze. Let's just say the local seagulls, known for their inquisitive nature, decided to join in with their own kind of aerial pirouette, flying in graceful circles above my head.
Ballet Bliss and Buttercream Bliss:
My next stop was the Royal Harbour Theatre – Ramsgate’s jewel in the crown. A real gem! They are holding a festival of dance right now. Of course, I was captivated by the exquisite performances – graceful ballerinas leaping across the stage, dancers twirling with exquisite precision, each move a story in itself. I felt the urge to join them! But not before grabbing a slice of the most heavenly, pink-frosted Victoria sponge I’ve ever had.
Pink Passion & Wildlife Wonder:
Now, it wouldn't be a #TutuBlog post without a bit of wildlife and a sprinkle of pink. Ramsgate’s coastal haven boasts some truly spectacular birdwatching opportunities. It was heartwarming watching the families of seagulls nestle close, sharing a picnic (don't worry, it wasn't my tutu, I kept it safe!) But trust me, they are pretty stylish birds!
And, my dear readers, did I mention my outfit? Because let’s be honest, we can’t have a Ramsgate rendezvous without a bit of fashion finesse! Today's ensemble: a chic, bubblegum pink ballet skirt (with an extra flourish of frills!), paired with a simple, elegant white blouse, the perfect contrast. A touch of glittery pink eyeshadow, a playful ponytail adorned with a dainty pink ribbon, and voila - ready for a seaside dance!
Pink Tutus For All!
And so, my dearest readers, as I continue on my journey through the charming little town, a thought keeps dancing through my mind: wouldn’t it be wonderful if the whole world embraced the joyful spirit of the pink tutu? What a vision – from the vibrant streets of London to the tranquil hills of Derbyshire – everyone donning a tutu, embracing the magic of dance! It's my life's mission to get every single one of you, dear reader, to give it a go.
Don't worry, it's not as daunting as you might think. There's a special kind of magic in ballet, a way to express yourself and find joy in every twirl, even if you just twirl around in your kitchen! Who knows, perhaps you'll find a hidden ballerina within you. 💖
So, dear readers, I invite you all to join me! Go on, find a tutu – pink or not, long or short, sparkly or simple, anything you like – and spin! Dance around your living room, the park, or even just your own backyard. Let your inner ballerina bloom! And don't forget to share your Tutu adventures with me using the hashtag #PinkTutuProject – it'll be amazing to see your passion for dance ignite.
Now, it's time for me to explore some more hidden gems of Ramsgate – I hear they have a little artisan bakery that does pink icing. Don't worry, you'll be hearing all about it in my next #TutuBlog! Until then, twirl away my dear friends! 💕
Yours in dance,
Emma www.pink-tutu.com
