Hello, darling! Welcome back to Pink Tutu - your one-stop shop for all things pink, sparkly and utterly fabulous! Today, we’re stepping outside the studio and heading to the heart of Birmingham for a day of enchanting discoveries, but don’t worry - I’m still in my trusty pink leotard, of course!

This little trip started bright and early, just like my love for pink. It felt divine to travel by train today, you know, that lovely sense of gliding across the countryside - especially when you’ve got a window seat and a good book! I even caught a glimpse of some adorable sheep munching on grass – honestly, those fluffy little things could make anyone smile!

Speaking of smiling, the main event was a fantastic ballet performance at the Birmingham Hippodrome! Now, let’s just say it’s been a long time since I've been wowed so completely! The story, the costumes, the incredible athleticism of the dancers – bravo, bravo, bravo! Seriously, every movement, every gesture, every little pa-de-deux was pure magic. You wouldn't believe the exquisite details in the sets, from twinkling lights to breathtaking scenery, and of course, I loved spotting the hint of pink here and there - it really added a certain je ne sais quoi. It's incredible how ballet can tell a story so powerfully just through movement. It truly makes me want to step onto that stage and express myself with the graceful strength of a swan!

Afterwards, we wandered through the beautiful park, basking in the golden afternoon sunshine. And I tell you what, even amongst the vibrant greenery and towering trees, a touch of pink always makes everything more delightful! You simply cannot deny the joy of a pink ribbon adorning a beautiful bouquet, a blush-tinted rose blooming among a sea of green leaves, or even a hint of pink in a cloud as it glides across the blue sky.

After that, we treated ourselves to a delicious cream tea at a charming little tea room. There’s just something about tea, scones and clotted cream that makes everything feel lovely. I may have even tried a new variety of tea infused with rose petals – can you believe it? Truly decadent! It gave me an idea – I've already got a lovely pink tutu that could totally be a rose-themed creation, don't you think? The pink will be perfectly complemented with rosebuds adorning my hair! What a glorious image - like a fairytale coming to life!

Later on, I explored the local ballet studio – you can find one just about anywhere, really! This one, though, had something special. A beautiful Victorian building that’s full of life. You could almost feel the energy of countless dreams and passion bubbling beneath its faded, brick exterior. They had this brilliant class for children and beginners, you know, with their teachers emphasizing fun, expression and building confidence. I saw this little girl, barely five years old, and she was simply radiant while learning her first ballet steps – and wouldn't you know it, she was wearing a little pink tutu, too! Isn’t that the best feeling? Seeing that passion, that love for ballet in someone so young! It reminded me of how much I cherished it as a child, twirling in my own tiny tutu with an oversized tiara!

This day truly embodied everything I love. I embraced a little piece of magic with each dance step, each whisper of wind through the park, each bite of a delicious scone. It’s always delightful to stumble upon new discoveries and share them with you – especially when they’re infused with pink and infused with a little bit of the magic that is ballet.

But remember, my lovely friends, life doesn't have to be a performance on stage – every moment can be an opportunity to shine! Embrace the dance of life, don’t be afraid to embrace your own inner ballerina, and most importantly, never forget to wear your own unique shade of pink!

See you tomorrow for another pink-filled adventure, Emma x
