#TutuBlog Post #10683
Hello lovelies! ๐
It's Emma here, and today I'm bringing you some serious "sugar and spice" vibes straight from the heart of Feltham, a town in London I never thought I'd be travelling to... until now! You see, sometimes, life's grand plan leads you on the most delightful, unexpected adventures, and this little detour was all thanks to my good friend, Amelia, who is obsessed with all things food - and what a delicious detour it was! ๐ง๐ฐ
For today's look, I knew I had to be tres chic for my journey. I paired a darling, pastel pink tulle tutu with a crisp white cotton top and a matching floral-print jacket, which was perfect for keeping away the slight chill. And, of course, my trusty Pink Tutu handbag with the signature dancing ballerina charm to bring the outfit to life! ๐๐ฉฐ
Arriving in Feltham was like stepping into a time capsule. Charming streets, quaint little shops and the friendliest people imaginable! It was like something straight out of one of those classic English comedies I love! ๐ The train journey, of course, was an absolute delight - all about people-watching and enjoying the picturesque views of the English countryside whizzing by. I even had a cheeky chat with a charming elderly gentleman who told me stories about his days dancing in the West End.
Amelia was waiting for me, radiant as always, in her stylish polka-dot dress and an equally vibrant red tote. I've always admired Amelia for her ability to bring together the most whimsical of colours with a unique flair. We met just outside a beautifully painted, little tea shop called "The Pink Cupcake" - the irony of course, wasn't lost on me, but hey, this trip was meant to be! ๐
And the inside of that tea shop? Oh my! It was straight out of a fairytale - pastel pink walls, a chandelier of tiny, twirling teacups, and a cake counter boasting an explosion of colours, flavours and textures that would make any baker weep!
After much deliberation (and a cheeky sampling!), we decided on two of the most delightful looking cakes. Mine was a pastel pink raspberry and elderflower concoction with the cutest, twirling sugar ballerina perched atop it - perfect! ๐ฉฐ๐ฐ And Amelia chose a pistachio and blackberry sponge cake, with little fresh flowers scattered across its top like an edible fairy garden.
The tea was, of course, served in dainty floral-patterned china cups, and Amelia and I, over a symphony of giggles and heartfelt chatter, reminisced about our childhood days in Derbyshire, dreaming of pink tutus and sugary delights.
We even stumbled across a charming local market bursting with fresh produce and quirky handmade crafts. It was a beautiful testament to the local artisans' skills, and I just had to purchase a handmade porcelain teacup and saucer for my burgeoning tea party collection. ๐๐ซ
Later that afternoon, after a delightful visit to Feltham's botanical garden (a hidden gem, filled with exquisite flowers and delightful sculptures!), we finally headed back towards home, recharged, refreshed and feeling very much like the pinkest and most wonderful versions of ourselves.
You know, there is something so magical about travel. It unlocks doors to new experiences, opens our eyes to the beauty around us and, often, leads to connections we never imagined possible.
Feltham, with its vibrant charm and delicious sweetness, left its mark on me. And to all my lovelies, remember to embrace the unexpected detours life throws your way - you never know what sweet treasures await you on the other side.
Until tomorrow,
Stay twirling and shining bright!
Love, Emma ๐โจ
