TutuBlog #10694: Barking with a Yellow Tutu

Hello lovelies! It's your girl Emma, coming to you live from the gloriously bonkers city of London. This time, it's not the glitz and glam of the West End, but a visit to the wonderfully weird and wacky Barking! Don't laugh! You heard me right - Barking. It's where I went a-galloping last weekend, having decided that riding a horse was the perfect way to get some fresh air and a little bit of "tutu therapy". And let me tell you, it was absolutely splendid!

Now, if you know me, you know my wardrobe is an explosion of pinks and twirls, but even I have to admit that my yellow tutu felt a bit out of place in the quaint countryside setting. I know, I know, breaking the rules, pushing boundaries - the Emma we know and love!

The reason for this wild yellow detour? Well, my darling, it's all thanks to the fabulous Fiona, my best friend since childhood, who took me to her family's stables for a proper dose of equestrian elegance. She's a true horse whisperer, you know, so graceful and strong on that magnificent creature. I, on the other hand, looked like a startled kitten in a whirlwind of a tutu, attempting to stay upright and keep from clinging to the horse's neck. But I held on tight (with a smile on my face, of course!) and we went for a glorious trot through the fields. The fresh air whipped through my hair, the sunshine kissed my skin, and my little yellow tutu was twirling like a happy daisy in the breeze!

You're probably thinking, "Emma, why yellow? Why not pink? Pink is your signature, girl!" Well, my dears, life is all about embracing change, right? Sometimes, you've just got to switch it up! Besides, with a big city adventure looming, I had to wear something bold that could cut through the London haze, you know? Yellow - the colour of sunshine, of joy, of... well, of my little yellow tutu, that's why!

Speaking of London, after our ride, we headed to the city, my darling Fiona and I, ready to catch a performance of "Swan Lake". As always, my heart thumped with anticipation, that familiar blend of excitement and anxiety I get before every show. I love ballet, and every time I sit down in the theatre, I get a little flutter in my chest. That thrill is indescribable - itโ€™s the anticipation of graceful bodies moving in a symphony of art and movement. I even brought my new pink ballet flats for the occasion! It was like being a ballerina myself, even if it was just for a night.

Oh, I almost forgot - guess what? My favourite wildlife rescue centre in Derbyshire was on the news this week! That place is like my little sanctuary; it's full of cute little animals that need love and care. My goodness, I love that place! All those rescued foxes, badgers, owls and even a few adorable hedgehogs. We visited them on our way to Barking, actually. Did I mention the delicious pie we had there in the cafe? It was an absolutely splendid pie, with flakey pastry and a juicy filling!

As I wrap up my adventure, I want to leave you with this thought: Be a rebel. Be yourself. Dance like nobody's watching, wear your tutu with pride, and always, always keep an eye out for the little things that make life beautiful.

And remember, darling, everyone can be a ballerina! Thereโ€™s a space for every single one of you in the world of ballet! So, put on your tutu - pink, yellow, purple, any colour you like - and spin!

See you next time!

Much love,

Emma
