#TutuBlog #10702
Hello my darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu enthusiast, Emma, checking in from sunny Wellingborough. Today’s blog is all about taking my love for ballet beyond the studio and into the streets – literally!
Oh, I do love a good train journey, you know. Just me, my trusty suitcase packed with tulle dreams, and the gentle rhythmic clatter of the wheels against the tracks. It’s a perfect ballet in itself! And let’s be honest, the countryside is just bursting with beautiful scenery for ballet-inspired photographs. Today, I felt like I was gliding through a real-life "Swan Lake," except instead of a swan I was in a gloriously pink tutu!
And you know what? People loved it! I spotted so many curious smiles on faces, especially the kids! They were just delighted. Their eyes lit up with the pure magic of seeing a dancing, spinning, pink tutu whizzing past. My goal in life? Well, apart from twirling across every continent and taking part in the world’s biggest ballet competition (one day!), it's to get everyone in a pink tutu! And maybe even to try ballet for a class or two. You never know – it might just ignite a passion!
But back to Wellingborough! I'm not just here for a railway-inspired tutu parade. It's home to the magnificent Priory Theatre, a hidden gem I stumbled upon. The minute I saw it, I could just imagine graceful dancers taking the stage, all in a whirlwind of colour and expression. It was made for the enchantment of ballet!
And, honestly, it’s not just about the performances, my dears! It’s also about connecting with a whole community of ballet lovers, of celebrating the sheer artistry of this beautiful art form. The thrill of sharing this passion with others… it’s truly magic!
After my theatre adventure, I decided to explore the enchanting Wellingborough wildlife reserves. It’s so calming and beautiful – a haven for nature lovers and for anyone needing a peaceful break. I took a few pics for my "Pink Tutu Meets Nature" collection, which is really taking off, by the way. Did I mention you can buy some of my work online at my new shop, Tulle and Blooms (the link is in my bio). I can't tell you how much it means to me when you order one!
Now, I know I mentioned taking a horse-drawn carriage earlier, and I'm delighted to say I found just the right opportunity in Wellingborough. A lovely local company called "Carriages of Elegance" provided the perfect ride, giving me the feeling I'd stepped back in time into a Jane Austen novel! It was like being in a dance itself – elegant and romantic, swaying with every movement of the carriage!
So, here I am, my dear readers, basking in the beauty of Wellingborough! It’s a town with charm and a unique character – something I can’t get enough of! But you know what else I love? The smiles of children when they see my pink tutu, the magic of the theatre, the graceful movements of horses in a carriage, the beauty of the countryside... all intertwined with the joy of ballet. It makes me think that sometimes the best dance performances happen off stage, and in the ordinary moments, where the real beauty and inspiration is to be found!
I’ll be sharing more adventures from Wellingborough in my upcoming posts, but for now, I urge you all: wear a pink tutu! Or try a ballet class. It’s a journey worth taking!
Until next time,
Emma xxx
