Hey lovelies!
It's your girl Emma, coming at you live from Rainham, a little slice of charming countryside I stumbled upon on my latest rail adventure. And guess what? I brought a surprise with me… a German Tutu!
You know how I love to bring a splash of colour and whimsy to every journey, and this little pink number (it wouldn't be me without pink, would it?) is definitely doing just that. I'm not sure if the locals here have seen anything quite like it! They might be wondering what on earth this Derbyshire lass is up to, but you know me, I love to bring the sparkle wherever I go.
Speaking of sparkle, let's rewind a bit and talk about the journey here. My trusty steed – well, a rather grand old train engine in this case – carried me from Derbyshire across the rolling green countryside to this delightful little town. As I watched the world whizz by, I found myself feeling the familiar pull of inspiration. Ideas for my next choreographic piece began to take shape in my mind, a medley of pirouettes and pliés infused with the rhythm of the passing fields and the graceful swoop of the birds overhead.
Yes, that’s right! This trip has definitely got my creative juices flowing! As I was wandering through the quaint streets of Rainham, I caught sight of a little bird shop that just stole my heart. Inside, they had a collection of beautiful budgies – vibrant bursts of turquoise, sunshine yellow, and even a little one with feathers that looked like shimmering pink gemstones! (Yes, I practically gasped out loud). They inspired me to create a dance that evokes the vibrant, almost comical energy of a flock of these amazing little birds.
Rainham's a haven for those with a penchant for nature, that’s for sure. I spent a glorious afternoon strolling through the lovely park. It's absolutely blooming with wildflowers, and I even had a rather heartwarming encounter with a family of squirrels (they're just so darn cute!), one of them was wearing a miniature little pink beanie – talk about style!
A German Tutu's Big Debut:
This isn’t just any ordinary tutu, you know. This one came from a little family-run workshop nestled amongst the charming, cobbled streets of a quaint German village I recently visited. The woman who made it for me was so lovely – she shared stories about her passion for ballet and even had a cute little ballerina figurine on her work table that I practically swooned over.
So, I'm wearing this German gem for a special reason. Tonight, Rainham is hosting its annual community theatre gala, and they're showcasing a beautiful ballet performance of 'Giselle'. I'm dying to see it! I'll be adding my own pink tutu twist to the occasion – imagine a ballet inspired look but with my signature style. My trusty pair of pink ballet flats will definitely be making an appearance!
But Wait, There's More!
Oh, my darlings, I can't forget to tell you about the most fantastic bakery I found on the edge of the park. Imagine freshly-baked, fluffy bread with that most wonderful, warming scent. It’s an absolute paradise! I can’t leave without trying their famous 'raspberry and custard' pastries.
The perfect combination of delicious sweetness, it definitely fits right into my “sweet things in life” category! My little German tutu, by the way, decided it wanted to enjoy some too – and it fits perfectly inside my picnic basket (just one of the many hidden uses of my German treasure!).
My Rainham Revelations:
Honestly, Rainham has exceeded my expectations! This delightful little town with its vibrant energy and abundance of hidden gems is simply breathtaking. The kind locals, the charming atmosphere, the sheer beauty of nature… it's really something special.
You know I love travelling to new places and seeing how my pink tutu vibes in different environments, and Rainham is certainly turning out to be a beautiful backdrop for it! I'll be sharing more pictures and stories of my trip over on my Instagram – I’d love for you all to see it!
As for the ultimate mission – to get everyone wearing a pink tutu and doing ballet – my adventures keep bringing me closer to making it a reality! It all started in Derbyshire, and it continues to flourish with every new adventure!
Until next time lovelies,
Emma xx
