Hey, Tutu Tribe! ? It's Emma here, your resident pink tutu enthusiast and self-proclaimed ballet evangelist! It's time for another fabulous #TutuBlog post, this one brought to you straight from the charming coastal town of Crosby.
Let me tell you, the journey itself was almost as exciting as the destination! I decided to skip the mundane motorways and instead opted for a whimsical trip by train - with a changeover in the picturesque city of Manchester, of course. ? The carriage was adorned with smiling faces and a symphony of gentle conversation, just the kind of heartwarming ambience to put me in a good mood for the rest of my adventure.
I even managed to spot a cheeky squirrel dashing through the countryside! ?️ It just goes to show, you never know what nature has in store for you, especially when you're travelling in style. Speaking of style, I just had to don my feather tutu for this adventure. It's a shimmering confection of soft pink and a whisper of lavender, perfectly matched with a cream cardigan and a pair of sparkly ballet flats - you know I always love a touch of whimsy! ?
As the train pulled into Crosby, I felt a palpable change in the air. The seaside breeze carried a hint of salty air and the sound of crashing waves. The sea was an electric turquoise, sparkling in the summer sun. The quaint charm of Crosby captivated me right from the station, and I couldn't wait to explore further! ?
I’ve always had a penchant for exploring new places. My home county of Derbyshire is filled with stunning nature and lovely towns and villages, but travelling further afield allows me to find more inspiration. After all, ballet isn't just about leaps and pirouettes; it's about life itself! ✨
As I strolled along the waterfront, I noticed the famous Antony Gormley sculptures peeking out from the sea. I'm such a big fan of his work! They were both beautiful and haunting, the perfect blend of art and nature. It inspired me to try a little impromptu choreography right there on the beach. I took in the vast expanse of the ocean, its shifting colours and rhythmic sounds, and allowed the inspiration to flow through me. ?
Of course, no trip to Crosby would be complete without a visit to Crosby Coastal Park. It's a paradise for anyone who loves wildlife! From nesting birds and inquisitive seals to graceful seabirds soaring overhead, the diversity of life here was simply captivating. ??️ I couldn’t help but feel a deep connection to these majestic creatures. Their grace and strength reminded me of the importance of finding balance and inner strength, lessons I learn every day in my ballet practice. ?
Speaking of practice, I have a rather special plan for tomorrow! I've managed to find a ballet class overlooking the seaside - what a dream! I can't wait to stretch, plié, and arabesque with the sounds of the waves as my soundtrack. I might even incorporate some beach-inspired choreography - imagine graceful jumps like leaping dolphins and graceful turns that mimic the ebb and flow of the tide! ??♀️
Of course, I can't let you leave without sharing a little inspiration. You see, it's not about having the most impressive technical skills or even the fanciest tutus. It's about finding your inner ballerina. Embrace your individuality, unleash your creativity, and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
And hey, why not try out ballet yourself? Whether you've always dreamed of being a prima ballerina or simply fancy dipping your toes in the world of grace and poise, ballet can open up a world of possibilities. You never know, you might discover hidden talents and find a newfound confidence within you! ?
So, to all my dear Tutu Tribe, don’t forget to always wear your hearts on your sleeves and a splash of pink in your lives. Keep chasing your dreams, twirling with joy, and let your inner ballerina shine bright! ✨
Until next time,
Emma
