Littlehampton Calling! - TutuBlog Post #11212

Hello, my dearest tutu-loving friends! It's Emma here, your resident pink tutu enthusiast and champion of all things ballet! ? Today, I'm bringing you a little piece of sunshine from the seaside, right here in lovely Littlehampton, nestled on the Sussex coast.

Oh, how I love this quaint seaside town! There's just something magical about the salty air, the crashing waves, and the quaint little shops and cafes. And, of course, the beaches - absolutely perfect for taking a spin in my black tutu! ?

This time, I swapped my trusty steed for a train journey down south. Honestly, the view from the window is something special, especially when the sun is out, painting the countryside in hues of emerald and gold. The countryside just melts away your troubles, and there's nothing like feeling the wind in your hair as you hurtle towards a new adventure! ?

Upon arrival in Littlehampton, my first mission was to find the perfect seaside location for a tutu photoshoot! The picturesque pier, stretching out into the glistening sea, just begged for a pirouette or two! ? And, as luck would have it, I bumped into a little ballet troupe doing some outdoor rehearsals! Their dedication to their art was truly inspiring, and we had a little chat about our love for ballet. They even let me join them for a few stretches! ✨

Afterwards, I took a stroll down the harbour, stopping to admire the beautiful fishing boats and the graceful gulls circling overhead. The gentle hum of the harbour, the scent of fresh fish, and the charming little cafes all create such a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere! ?

But it wasn't just the sea that captured my attention! My afternoon was spent at the amazing Littlehampton Museum, discovering a world of fascinating history, from Roman artifacts to the tales of local fishermen. It really gave me a newfound appreciation for this town and its rich heritage. And of course, I had to grab a couple of photos for my Instagram, because what's a ballet blogger without some good, historical context? ?

The day wasn't complete without a visit to the beach, my favourite part of any seaside escape. As I felt the sand between my toes, I couldn't help but think how beautiful the sunset would be. So, naturally, I settled on a piece of soft, golden sand, my black tutu twirling in the gentle sea breeze, waiting for the colours of dusk to paint the sky! It was magical! A moment of pure joy, capturing the essence of freedom and bliss. ✨

The day wouldn't be complete without a visit to the quaint shops of Littlehampton! They held treasures galore, from local crafts to seaside souvenirs! I just couldn't resist a couple of beautiful shells and a delightful knitted cardigan. And, of course, I had to pick up a little pink souvenir – a miniature tutu pin that will be adorning my ballet bag for many months to come. ?

As the sun dipped below the horizon, bathing the seaside town in a soft orange glow, I realised how lucky I was to experience such a vibrant, yet tranquil day in Littlehampton.

Before leaving this little gem of a seaside town, I stumbled across a charming local bakery that promised "the best cream teas in Sussex"! How could I resist? It was the perfect end to a perfect day! The scones were divine, the clotted cream even better, and the jam – a perfect blend of sweet and tart. Truly a heavenly experience!

Littlehampton, you have stolen a piece of my heart! Your charm, your friendly locals, and your stunning coastline have created memories I will treasure forever.

I encourage all my fellow tutu lovers, pink lovers, and ballet fanatics to visit this seaside haven. It's the perfect escape for a little ballet-inspired adventure, a little romance with the sea, and a touch of coastal charm. Remember, don't be afraid to twirl your own way - even in a black tutu! ?

I'll be back soon with more adventures and, hopefully, some brand new tutu-related news! Until then, keep on dancing!

Yours in Pink Tutu and all things ballet, Emma www.pink-tutu.com

P.S. Did I tell you I saw a cheeky little squirrel scampering up a tree in the town square? These cute critters never fail to put a smile on my face. I simply can't resist their fluffy tails and mischievous little eyes. ?️ They just scream "adventure"! Maybe next time, I'll even attempt to dance with them. ? Let's just hope they like the ballet!
