Llanelli, Lla-la-love! ??

#TutuBlog Post Number 11282

Good morning, lovelies! ?

Sunshine in Derbyshire this morning and you know what that means? It’s a fabulous day for a TutuBlog post! ?

As many of you know, I’m a total train-enthusiast – there’s something about the rhythm of the tracks and the sheer wonder of hurtling through the countryside that fills my heart with joy! Today’s adventure led me, not to some glamorous European city, but to a quaint Welsh town - Llanelli! ???????

Don’t let the lack of fancy foreign flair fool you – this place has charm in spades! I spent the last two days exploring its historic streets, admiring the stunning architecture (the Town Hall is absolutely gorgeous, if you ever get the chance, check it out!) and sampling some truly delightful Welsh cakes. ?

But this trip was more than just sightseeing, it was a pilgrimage, a journey of the soul. The main purpose of my Llanelli adventure was to see the beautiful new ballet performance at the Ffwrnes Theatre - “The Swan Lake Symphony”. Swan Lake is such a beautiful ballet, and seeing it performed live in a quaint Welsh theatre? Perfection! ?

You bet I was decked out in my finest pink tutu. ? A soft blush-coloured confection with shimmering sequined accents and delicate tulle that floated with every graceful movement of my limbs (well, I do like to imagine I float!). I think I caught the eye of a fellow audience member in the third row – a little twinkle in their eye. Perhaps I inspired them to consider taking up ballet! ?

Before heading back to Derbyshire (and my trusty sewing machine - a girl has to keep up with the tutus!) I stopped by Llanelli’s gorgeous National Botanic Garden of Wales. I fell in love with the colours, the incredible smells and the way nature was flourishing! ?? And, yes, of course, I managed to fit in a mini ballet session in the open-air amphitheatre they have there. Can you imagine? Dancing in nature with the birds singing?! I’m a dreamer at heart, and that moment was pure magic. ✨

You know I love my cityscapes but there is a different sort of magic in the countryside, particularly when surrounded by wildlife! My little break has filled me with a renewed sense of wonder and joy, and the inspiration for a dozen new tutu creations (pink, obviously! ?).

Llanelli, you have won my heart! You’re proof that you can find something beautiful and special everywhere you go, if you just look hard enough! ?

See you all on Pink-Tutu.com tomorrow with more travel adventures, style updates and, of course, some more tips on how to bring a bit of tutu magic into your life! ?

Love, Emma

P.S. What's your favourite kind of travel? I love train journeys! ? Tell me in the comments! ?
