Hey gorgeous peeps! ? Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to Falkirk, Scotland, and let me tell you, it was simply divine!

I've always had a hankering to explore the bonnie, bonnie banks o' Loch Lomond, and this week I finally got to! Now, you know me - I love my tutus, and travelling by train always adds a touch of glamour, but I couldn't resist a touch of the wild side for this adventure. Picture this: me, with my bright orange tutu, riding horseback across the Scottish countryside, the wind whipping through my hair and the smell of heather in the air... utter bliss!

The orange tutu, by the way, was a total impulse buy - I spotted it in a tiny vintage shop in Bakewell on my way north. It was calling out to me like a siren song! It’s just the right shade to bring out the warmth in my rosy cheeks, you know? I wore it for the entire trip - it's as comfy as a favourite pair of pyjamas, even with all the bouncing around!

Of course, Falkirk was an absolute delight. Did you know there's a giant sculpture of a Kelpie there? That’s a mythical water horse in Scottish folklore, and the one in Falkirk is absolutely massive, a beautiful bronze beauty rising from the Forth and Clyde Canal. It's such an awe-inspiring sight. Makes you feel a little like a tiny ballerina in a vast and powerful world, which, you know, I quite like!

And the wildlife! The majestic red deer in the nearby Callendar Woods made me feel all misty-eyed. Such grace and elegance, even with those rather pointy antlers. Makes me think about the power and beauty that we can find even in unexpected places, even in ourselves. It reminds me that sometimes the most important things in life are the ones we never expected.

But don't think this trip was all about rugged wilderness and majestic horses. My first stop, before embarking on my equine escapade, was Falkirk Town Hall, where I enjoyed a magnificent ballet show. The company were incredible – so passionate, so strong. It made me want to throw on my own leotard and pointe shoes, get back into the studio and practise until my toes hurt.

There's nothing like a beautiful ballet performance to get you feeling truly alive! ? It reminds me why I dedicate so much of my life to the art of ballet - it's not just about pretty moves and costumes, it’s about telling a story with our bodies, making people feel, think, and be moved.

Speaking of telling stories, I got a little nostalgic and popped into a cosy tearoom to catch up on some reading. Falkirk boasts the famous "Wee Pub" – it's the world's smallest pub, I kid you not! – but my bookworms were more drawn to a snug and inviting corner in The Victorian Coffee Shop. And of course, no trip would be complete without a hearty afternoon tea. With delicate cakes and a cup of Earl Grey, my literary musings came flooding back and my fingers began to twitch, itching to write!

Now, for all of you lovelies thinking of taking a trip to Falkirk yourself, I have some advice:

For the Ballet Bug: Falkirk hosts a lively dance scene, with classes at the Stirling Active for beginners, and more advanced training available in nearby cities. Get those muscles working, you’ll thank me later!

For the Wildlife Watcher: Falkirk is a wildlife paradise. Go exploring in Callendar Woods for majestic red deer, visit the famous Scottish Wildlife Trust centre for an array of animal encounters, or even just admire the charming canal wildlife. You'll be amazed by the beauty that surrounds you.

For the Equestrian: Find yourself a trusted local stables like I did – ask around and find your own steed! The thrill of galloping through the countryside is a feeling you’ll never forget. Plus, there are plenty of beautiful trails to discover, like the Callendar Park path or even the "Kelpies Trail." It’s perfect for horse riding or a leisurely stroll.

For the Tutu Fan: Look, let’s be honest, it's Falkirk! It's a perfect opportunity for unleashing your inner ballerina with an eye-catching, unique tutu. Whether it's an orange number like mine, a classic pink tutu, or something a little more extravagant, I say wear it with pride! ? Let the world know you're not just any traveller; you're a dance aficionado, a passionate spirit, a lover of life and all things pretty!

You know me, I believe in making every experience magical and spreading some pink-tutu love wherever I go! That's why I’ve started the “Pink Tutu Revolution!” I’m on a mission to get everyone twirling in their own special tutu, whatever shape, size, or colour it may be! Don’t be shy, join the movement! Embrace your inner ballerina and let the world see you shine.

As for me, my next adventure awaits – who knows where my dancing shoes will take me next! But I know one thing: it's going to be absolutely fabulous, pink or otherwise.

Keep shining, my loves!

Love,

Emma xox
