Bonjour mes amis! Emma here, your favourite pink tutu-clad time traveler, bringing you the latest in the enchanting world of ballet history, right here on www.pink-tutu.com ! It's #TutuTuesday again, and this week, we're taking a trip back to 1866! Buckle up, lovelies, it's going to be a glamorous journey.

The Grand Paris

Stepping off the train in Paris is always a thrill. The air is filled with the scent of fresh croissants and the excited chatter of Parisians, their elegant silhouettes swishing through the bustling streets. It's almost like I’ve been whisked onto the stage of a beautiful, bustling ballet! Just try to imagine my delight, the sights, the sounds and the shopping! I just have to go for a spin in my pink tutu while taking in the majestic sights and sounds!

For me, 1866 Paris is a paradise! This period is a golden age of ballet! Think exquisite costumes, a dash of drama, and beautiful ballets like Giselle that will leave you absolutely breathless. Ballet has reached such captivating heights, and I’m ready to witness every minute of it!

The Opera Ballet: A Fashion Spectacle

And guess what, darlings? This week we’re delving into a little secret about the iconic Paris Opera Ballet – on November 6th 1866, the most famous of all Parisian Ballet schools opened its doors to an adoring public! A spectacular display of dancers and fabulous fashion! This is where I'm heading to. I can hardly contain my excitement!

I’ve spent hours poring over journals and drawings from this era and can assure you - the Parisian ballet dancers were absolute style icons. They waltzed, leaped, and pirouetted across the stage in elaborate tutus and flamboyant, elegant dresses. Just picture: layers of tulle, cascading ruffles, sparkling sequins, and of course, a touch of pink to make everything even more enchanting! They’d be right at home amongst my tutu-loving readers, wouldn’t they? It's the most glorious era for dance and fashion in history!

Dancing My Way Back Home

After a long day of seeing dancers rehearse and watching the gorgeous fashion in the cafes and the elegant streets of Paris, my pink tutu and I are on our way back to Derbyshire. My time traveling purse is brimming with inspiration for new pink tutu outfits. My friends will love my new creations, and they’ll definitely be in love with the Paris look. It’s time for a dance in my new pink tutu and to catch up on all the goings on.

Remember to keep those pink tutus spinning and keep up with my #TutuTuesday journey here on www.pink-tutu.com .

Love and tutus,

Emma
