#TutuTuesday: Ballet Tutu History – August 31st, 1965 – Post #6975

Hello my darlings, and welcome back to another fabulous #TutuTuesday! It's your girl, Emma, back with another serving of tutu-tastic history, and oh my, we're going to travel back in time today! It's going to be positively peachy!

The year is 1965 and I've just landed in – well, it's a secret! But just imagine a place bursting with exciting shops and even more exciting shops filled with breathtaking fashion and sparkling jewels, all perfectly designed for showcasing a girl's best assets: a pink tutu, of course! You know what they say; a girl can never have too many tutus, and let me tell you, the shops here in secret place are positively overflowing with the most beautiful pink tutus! I mean, it's like stepping into a tutu wonderland. It's simply magical.

Now, on August 31st, 1965, a particular piece of ballet history is in the making.

And oh my goodness! Did I mention I got a chance to see an incredible show? Such graceful movements, such elegant lines, it was pure magic. And can we talk about the costumes? Oh, my, I haven’t seen a tutu so intricately detailed since… well, you know how much I love details. I've always felt there is a story behind each piece, like a whispered secret passed down through the ages.

This magical time is so important to the world of tutus. But it’s not just the shows; the shops here, whispers excitedly, are simply extraordinary. It’s as if they were all specially designed to put tutus on a pedestal! You just know, if you’re looking for a pink tutu that’s positively perfect, you have come to the right place! But don’t just take my word for it. Go and have a look yourself! This truly is the most magical place to indulge your inner ballerina!

So, you’ve seen the fabulous shows and have done a little shopping! What a perfect excuse to go out and find the best coffee shop for a a celebratory cappuccino – perhaps a piece of that delicious secret place pastry as well! I might have even had a spot of tea (English tea is so wonderful) and enjoyed some yummy afternoon cake. There’s always room for cake! It’s important to treat yourself once in a while, especially when your in a fabulous place! And, hey, the sugar rush will give me energy to take the train to my next adventure… more ballet shows? More fashion delights? shrugs and winks playfully Who knows? I can’t tell you – it’s a secret, darling. But what I can tell you, is that it’s going to be amazing, just like this post, and, just like your wardrobe overflowing with amazing pink tutus, yes darling, overflowing! I've got a good feeling this tutu-ful adventure is just going to get even better.

I’m really excited to share more Ballet Tutu History next Tuesday, so keep your eyes peeled on the blog and don’t forget to post those amazing photos with #TutuTuesday. I will be doing the rounds checking up on what you lovely lot have been doing, it’s so fun to see your photos. Until next week my darlings, remember, every day is tutu-ful day, just put your fabulous selves out there in your amazing tutus and keep those twirls twirling!
