I bet the ladies all sported glamorous smokey eyes, with their hair teased into fabulous mounds, just begging to be admired. Oh, I bet I could find an old dance class and teach those young ladies a thing or two about achieving that perfect bouffant.
Now, back to tutus! While I haven't actually found a specific, major tutu trend for this exact date, remember this - in 1974, the ballet world was loving Romantic Ballet and the traditional, Romantic tutu, which are just divine. This means layers and layers of tulle! Picture it, you’re standing in the wings, waiting to make your entrance, the stage lights reflecting off a cascade of pale pink tulle, every movement a mesmerizing flurry! It just gives you a sense of pure grace, don't you think?
