This date - March 29th, 1994, to be exact – holds a special place in my heart. Remember that Bolshoi Ballet I was talking about? Yep, it was touring around London that very day. Now, what could have a girl like me do on such an important day but book the first available ticket and take a glorious train trip to the city!
The sheer beauty of it all! That day, the Bolshoi dancers were performing the captivating tale of "Swan Lake". Oh, how I remember feeling the power of those soaring leaps and intricate choreography. The story resonated so deeply; I found myself mesmerized by the drama and romance unfolding onstage. Even my mother (she loves to sew) made me a bespoke lilac tutu especially for this occasion, I truly felt like a part of the dance world that day.
After the performance, I, of course, treated myself to a special dinner in the theatre’s gorgeous dining room. It was the perfect ending to a day overflowing with enchantment.
