Today, we're stepping back in time to September 17th, 2013, and taking a peek at the enchanting world of the tutu back then. I just had to hop on the time-traveling train this week because, well, the tutu world was brimming with fabulousness, just waiting to be explored!
Let's Travel Back to 2013: A Tutu-Filled Journey!
As always, my fabulous fashion radar is on high alert. This particular Tuesday in 2013 was all about the vibrant, playful, and oh-so-charming spirit of the tutu! Imagine: the crisp autumn air, a touch of rosy blush in the sky, and the magical scent of anticipation as we prepare for a magnificent evening of ballet! It’s all too delicious!
My Diary: September 17th, 2013
After a whirlwind of travel through time (thank you, wonderful ballet performances that keep my pocketbook plump), I arrived in… oh, where was I again? It's so hard to keep track with all this time traveling! Ah, right! London! It's always such a delightful buzz, full of style and exciting theatre outings.
I’d just taken a glorious ride on the Tube (London Underground - oh, it's a marvel of engineering!) dressed, naturally, in a divine pink tutu. It truly turned heads - I'm not going to lie, there was even a little boy in a very smart suit who bowed to me! Who could resist such sartorial sweetness? It just goes to show, pink tutus truly have the power to unite everyone in joy!
The Grand Opera House: A Symphony of Colour and Grace!
Later that evening, I had the most amazing treat – a front-row seat at the Royal Opera House for a performance of Swan Lake! It's just such an iconic ballet, and I’m always mesmerized by the incredible choreography and, of course, the beautiful costumes. Just imagine, swan-shaped tutus in shimmering white - how could you not be in awe? It's breathtakingly beautiful!
But It's Not All Swan Lake...
Speaking of tutus, don’t forget to keep an eye on your favorite dancers at the Royal Ballet this September. I'm keeping a keen eye out for all the latest ballet fashions, especially any tutus that showcase contemporary design! A bit of pink mixed in with modern styles is something I'm going to start looking out for. Who says a pink tutu doesn’t have a place in modern ballet?
