#TutuTuesday: Ballet Tutu History - A Whirl Through Time! (Post #9645)

Hello, darling tutu lovers! It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-adoring time traveller, Emma, here, back for another fabulous #TutuTuesday. This week, we're waltzing back to November 1st, 2016 - a date brimming with fabulous fashion and thrilling performances!

First of all, let's talk about London, because what could be better than a dash of autumn air with a side of Parisian chic? My goodness, London in 2016 was truly a sight to behold, brimming with every fashion trend imaginable. From the perfect fur-lined coats (hello, Winter!) to those amazing knee-high boots, you couldn't have wished for a more exciting time to be a fashionista. Oh, and those stunning midi-skirts, just perfect for swirling and twirling like a ballerina!

Speaking of swirling, this Tuesday in 2016 was also the date for The Royal Ballet’s "Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland" performance at the Royal Opera House! Can you imagine? "Alice" brought the fantastical world of Wonderland right to life - oh, what a truly unforgettable performance it must have been. To think that ballet had already been showcasing those amazing tales and emotions in such stunning ways for years and years... pure magic!

Now, you know me, darling readers! If I'm in London, I absolutely have to experience the sheer thrill of its world-famous street-style. So much individuality and fun! The people in 2016, they really embraced the joy of expressing themselves through fashion. And who knows? Maybe they were even wearing some ballet-inspired pieces! After all, ballerina fashion isn’t just about tutus – those soft ballet-inspired cardies, sleek lines, and classic grace really are the essence of good style.

And what about our glorious tutus, my dearest fashion fans? Did you know, this date was already seeing the return of romantic, feminine silhouettes? Those delicate fabrics and flowing layers - a perfect combination for the most breathtaking, romantic tutu designs. Honestly, it was like a dance of fashion history repeating itself right before my very eyes!

Of course, my trip wasn't just about ballet shows and fashion finds! This Tuesday also called for a delightful train journey to somewhere truly captivating. Nothing beats a vintage train ride and the magical world outside its windows. In 2016, the train still ruled as the most romantic and efficient way to see this fascinating world!

Now, don't think I forget our #TutuTuesday mission - to get everyone dancing in pink tutus! Let’s turn this Tuesday into a tutu-fied celebration. Grab a comfy seat, sip on some lovely hot chocolate, and share your tutu stories with me! And while you're at it, tell me, darling, which pink tutu will you be wearing for your next twirl?

Oh, and before I forget, don't miss my next #TutuTuesday post on www.pink-tutu.com, because we're going to be venturing back even further in time. Maybe we'll see the first ever tutu, or the very first time someone dreamt of wearing one! Oh, the stories we could discover…

Until next Tuesday, darlings! Remember, every day is a chance to twirl!

With love and a swirl, Emma x
