Tutu Tuesday: A Trip Through Time! (Post #9899)
Hey my lovely Tutu Twirlers! π Itβs Emma here, your favourite pink-loving ballerina, back with another trip through time. This week, we're waltzing our way back to September 14th, 2021!
Ooh, the excitement! This was a Tuesday, so you just know I was getting my Tutu Tuesday fix. π©°
First stop, a cheeky little peek at the fashion world β 2021 was bursting with colours and bold looks. Think shimmering fabrics, bold prints and of course the glorious comeback of the tutu! You wouldn't believe it, but those fluffy wonders were popping up everywhere, from high fashion runways to even casual streetwear β even though, admittedly, not so much in pink. π
I just can't help thinking: if only these designers could have a peek into the world of ballet! There, the tutu reigns supreme, with swirling layers and the most magnificent tulle imaginable. It's a truly majestic piece of attire that truly knows how to move with grace. π
After soaking up all the fashion inspiration, I dashed off to the local dance studio for some much-needed practice. The air hummed with the joyous melodies of classic ballet music, a soundtrack to every twirl and leap. I couldn't resist indulging in a few pirouettes myself.
Speaking of classic ballet music, let's dive back into 2021 a bit further, to September 14th, 2021 β it was a Wednesday. You won't believe who graced the stage that night! The magnificent, the phenomenal, the ballerina of all ballerinas, insert a famous dancer's name, was taking the stage in insert ballet show's name! I know, right?!
Imagine, the stage bathed in warm light, the music filling the air with soaring melodies, the rhythmic tapping of toes as the ballet dancers glided across the polished wooden floor. It was magic, pure magic! π«
Speaking of magic, this past week's travelling took me to the most charming little town. It was nestled amongst rolling green hills, its cobblestone streets lined with colourful shop fronts. It had that delightful vintage vibe. I was lucky enough to witness the opening night of a ballet company - insert name of local ballet company. They were truly an inspiration - the pure joy radiating from their performances was contagious, a beautiful reminder of the joy that ballet can bring.
Now, letβs chat about how I funded this latest escapade: you guessed it! More performances, my dears!
After catching a few showstopping performances by the world-renowned insert name of a famous dance company in the bustling city centre (with some cheeky shopping at the most divine boutiques along the way!), I used the lovely little coin I earned to fund my grand trip to insert a magical European town. I couldn't resist a few extra shillings for a breathtaking view of the town's cathedral at dusk. The gentle twilight sky painted a gorgeous silhouette, with a charming little cafe tucked just beneath the cathedral.
I felt utterly inspired - the atmosphere, the buildings, the historyβ¦ just all that timeless charm - I was already scribbling notes for my next Tutu Tuesday post. β¨
So, where shall we time travel next week? Maybe Iβll take a romantic train ride to Paris - who knows what Parisian style inspiration awaits me! π«π·
Until then, keep twirling, stay sassy, and wear those tutus with pride! π
Love always,
Emma xx
