Worthing Whirlwind: Pink Tutu Sparkles Takes on the Coast!

Pink-Tutu.com, Blog Post #10

Hello, darlings! It’s your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from the sparkling seaside town of Worthing! This gorgeous town on the Sussex coast is, dare I say it, positively sparkling with glamour. And, naturally, your girl has arrived, ready to bring some sunshine to this already delightful place.

This trip to Worthing is particularly exciting, as it's the tenth blog post on www.pink-tutu.com! I can't believe how quickly this crazy journey has flown by. But let’s get back to the coast, shall we?

The journey down was absolutely delightful. I had to travel by train, of course. What better way to take in the British countryside than from a cosy carriage, dressed in a pink tutu, my trusty fluffy pink bag by my side, and my favourite "Pink Princess" headphones blaring a fabulously eclectic mix of music? Let me tell you, even the seasoned commuters were giving me knowing glances – a few even dared to clap!

Upon my arrival in Worthing, the excitement reached a new peak! This town truly embraces colour and laughter. It felt like a perfect setting for a proper, old-fashioned, funfair – and a fantastic chance to showcase my own, sparkly personality.

I immediately went on a hunt for the perfect spot to perform, and wouldn't you know it, I found the ideal spot nestled right on the promenade – next to the charmingly old-fashioned "Sea Breeze Arcade." Now, this arcade is filled with the kind of machines that bring back all the best nostalgic childhood memories - air hockey, whack-a-mole, even a slot machine or two!

It's right by the beach too, which was a bonus! Honestly, Worthing reminded me a little bit of where I grew up, Derbyshire, just on the coast. Even though Derbyshire is a long way from the sea, it shares that down-to-earth, friendly energy with Worthing – a definite bonus when it comes to making people laugh.

The day of the performance was brilliant! A few more kind souls had joined me on the train down – and some were even wearing tutus! Can you believe it? We even stopped off for a lovely afternoon tea in a gorgeous little tea room called “The Rosebud Cafe.” They even had a whole pink cake – and you bet I ordered one!

It seems like all the Worthing ladies are fans of Pink Tutu Sparkles and are so supportive of the "everyone wear a pink tutu" movement! I've had more tutus bought, compliments, and "Pink Tutu Sparkles" shouts today than I ever had in a whole month back in Derbyshire!

Speaking of which, did I tell you all that I’m a scientist by day? Yup, that’s right, your favourite tutu-wearing, performing pink princess spends her days testing fabrics for different companies. Can you believe it? Me? Testing the fabrics that go into people's clothes? Well, I love it! Who'd have thought?

That little bit of fun with colours really helps with the lab job too! In a sense, being Pink Tutu Sparkles is like a natural extension of the lab – testing the limits of colour, style and glitter – the very lifeblood of fashion and fun!

Honestly, I'd never have predicted that when I was first handed a tutu during the university ballet club's charity fundraiser – my very first foray into drag! And let’s not forget, I’d be nowhere without that little tutu! It was a game changer!

Well, the crowd was amazing. They cheered so loud for all the "Pink Tutu Sparkles" performances – they seemed to love the fun-loving, colourful mix of music that goes along with all my performances!

We're talking classics like “A Little Less Conversation, A Little More Action,” which is always a good laugh. Then, there were all the "Pink Tutu Sparkles" routines, like "My Life’s A Pink Tutu Party”, which gets the crowds going every time, plus my take on the classic “Pink Tutu Party – Dancing with Pink Glitter” (an original Pink Tutu Sparkles piece) - oh my word! The laughter, dancing, and general joy - well, let’s just say Worthing has made it into my heart for life! It’s truly fabulously fun.

There is so much I’m so glad I had a chance to do on this trip to Worthing – and so much to write about! But this blog post needs a close now!

So what will happen next for Pink Tutu Sparkles? Well, let's just say my "Pink Tutu Tour 2000" is just beginning. And it's already jam-packed full of amazing, new adventures and a new batch of fantastic tutu moments. And you can bet I’ll be bringing all the glittery, colourful updates right here, in all my Pink Tutu glory!

Keep those tutus sparkling, my darlings!
