Hove, Here I Come! - Blog Post #61

Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, back with another fabulous update from my travels! As you know, I'm a firm believer that every day is a fashion show and life is a runway. So, naturally, I couldn't resist the call of the seaside and the promise of a grand performance in the delightful seaside town of Hove.

You know me, I love a bit of theatre! This town oozes history, art, and that certain something that just makes you feel good. The beautiful architecture, the smell of the sea air, the laughter echoing through the streets - it's a recipe for an amazing adventure! I simply had to grace Hove with my presence, bringing my signature pink tutus and glitter galore!

And what's the best way to travel, you ask? Well, naturally, by train! This girl loves a good railway journey. I adore watching the world go by through the window, imagining the stories unfolding at every station. I even find myself crafting little outfits in my head for the various characters I imagine passing by. Who knows, maybe someday I'll write a drag show inspired by the people on a train journey!

Oh, and of course, the train ride was the perfect opportunity for some fab fashion! I decided to go for a very soft, ballerina-esque look for this trip. Imagine a swirling, layered, pastel-pink tulle skirt (I've never seen so much pink tulle in one place, darling!), adorned with shimmering pink sequins, topped with a fitted white silk top, and my signature sparkly pink wings, because you know a pink tutu needs a sprinkle of fairy magic! My trusty trusty glitter bombs, strategically placed on the sides of my suitcase (because it's a necessity, don't you think? What is a queen without her shimmer?) also caught a few admiring glances - you can never have too much glitter!

After a leisurely train ride, complete with a little catnap and some light conversation with a lovely fellow traveler, we arrived at our destination! I immediately fell in love with the seaside charm of Hove. The quaint seaside shops filled with local crafts, the smell of salt water lingering in the air, the joyful bustle of people enjoying their afternoon, it's simply irresistible! I know I said I'm a huge fan of theatre and ballet, but a bit of seaside air really gets the creativity flowing!

I had an incredible time shopping at some fantastic local boutiques, finding a treasure trove of outfits and accessories perfect for the occasion. The seaside was begging for some dazzling pink tutus, you know? After all, it's not just a tutu - it's a symbol of happiness, self-expression, and just a whole lot of FUN!

That evening, the performance was truly a sight to behold! I waltzed onstage, swirling with that glorious pink tutu, bathed in the warm spotlight, and brought my magic to the stage. Oh, the smiles on the children's faces when they saw my entrance! You've never seen a brighter twinkle than in their eyes. And the adults were just as mesmerised - who doesn't love a touch of whimsy, sparkle, and an enormous dose of joy?

There were a few laughs when I confessed to everyone that I had spent my time between sets wandering the shoreline, looking for pretty sea shells and little stones - but who needs diamonds when you have seaside treasure, right?

Let me tell you, darling, after an exhilarating performance, there's nothing better than sitting down in a lovely, old-fashioned, seaside cafe with a mug of hot chocolate, topped with mountains of whipped cream and a delicate sprinkle of sprinkles! The ultimate combination of cozy and delightful. It reminded me why I love travelling, exploring new places and making memories with people who embrace all that is fabulous, beautiful, and extraordinary!

Until next time, remember: don't be afraid to sparkle, always follow your heart, and wear pink! It truly does make everything brighter!

XOXO,
