Hello darlings! It’s your favourite pink-tutu-clad, glitter-loving diva, Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to share another delightful adventure with you lovely lot! This is post number 66 on my fabulous pink-tutu-ific website www.pink-tutu.com. I’m buzzing with excitement, because today's escapade involves a visit to the historical and charming city of Chester. Did you know, they have Roman walls in Chester?! And did you know, I wore my fanciest pink tutu there?! 😉
As always, I’ve chosen a rather unconventional mode of transportation for my grand entrance into this delightful city: a grand, glorious, magnificent horse! Well, I say ‘horse’... technically, it was a train, but let's face it, who needs the glam of a modern-day locomotive when you can have a magnificent stallion carrying you across the English countryside, don’t you agree?! 🐎💨
Anyway, let's get down to the real reason why I'm writing to you lovelies – my journey to Chester was all about the glorious sparkle of theatre! You see, darling, I was performing at a beautiful old-fashioned theatre, all red velvet and gilded trim. Let's just say, my pink tutu had a right old field day! The lights reflecting off it were spectacular – it was truly dazzling! The crowd was positively divine, full of such wonderful energy. It was like a beautiful whirlwind of excitement, and, dare I say, pure joy! 🥰
And oh, let's talk about the performance, my dears! I had my usual bag of tricks ready, from gravity-defying dance routines and hilarious song and dance routines to a truly epic interpretive dance routine about the lifecycle of a butterfly! Let me tell you, that butterfly went through some changes! They loved it! The entire audience, a mix of ages and backgrounds, went wild for my final "spread your wings" encore performance. I could feel their energy – such a wonderful atmosphere to be surrounded by.
After the show, we ventured out to the beautiful cobbled streets of Chester to have a delicious meal. My dearest friends, you HAVE to try the cheesy chips they do here. Divine, simply divine! We strolled down the streets of Chester, taking in all the incredible architecture, and of course, taking pictures to share on my Instagram. Because who could resist such charming and historic scenery, topped off with a little sprinkle of Pink Tutu Sparkles sparkle?! 📸💖
You know, darling, all of this really reinforces the joy I feel performing for such lovely, appreciative audiences, who know how to dance along with the "Spread Your Wings" and cheer! I feel such joy in my role as an ambassador of love and joy through my beautiful art. It reminds me why I started all this.
Of course, being the ever-enthusiastic traveller, I had to add some more activities to this wonderful adventure. So, naturally, the following day I did a little something called a “pink-tutu-themed city tour.” If you haven't seen the pictures on Instagram yet, you should, darlings, they're truly fabulous. You won't believe the number of adorable tourists who requested selfies! 😄
Let’s be honest, we were ALL about spreading the message that, yes, even the oldest of historical buildings are perfectly complemented by a good pink tutu! It just goes to show you, darling, that there’s no place you can’t go with your pink tutu, because it just adds an extra layer of magical joy! 🤩💖
Now, darling, let’s talk about some more adventures, and a little peek behind the scenes into my exciting world as Pink Tutu Sparkles! As a lot of you know, my day job is just as interesting, though a bit less sparkly: I’m a scientist working on fabrics! So, my daytime adventures often involve testing fabrics and seeing how they interact with all kinds of conditions! I know, right?! Talk about exciting, I don't think I can manage without that pink tutu! 😂
Honestly though, I think the two sides of my life work surprisingly well together! They both challenge me, and I find myself applying the creativity from my performances to my day-to-day job – I mean, have you seen some of the designs I come up with? Pure genius! You can’t get this at Topshop! And of course, working with textiles and creating new things means I get a great appreciation for fabric. Plus, having an understanding of fabrics means my tutus always have the perfect amount of ruffles and sparkle to help me create the perfect performance. 👠💫
Remember darlings, I mentioned a train! Well, if I'm being honest, I’m quite partial to trains in general! The sheer excitement and wonder of speeding along the countryside at high speed with only the rushing landscape around me is a joy that can't be beat! There's also a real sense of excitement and anticipation with trains! It always feels like you're off on an adventure. There is an element of magic, perhaps a feeling of leaving everyday life behind for a little while to discover something new and exciting! Perhaps it is my subconscious yearning for that vintage glam train ride on my next holiday, but the glam is part of what draws me to them! Who wouldn't love a journey on an express train that's a masterpiece of engineering, taking you on a beautiful voyage through picturesque scenery?! And then there are all those adorable vintage suitcases. Imagine, all packed with lovely tutus and sparkle – a truly beautiful thing to look at, darling. 😍
